I live is the US. Obviously the official video system is ntsc. Will switching to pal benefit me because the lower framerate will help with bandwidth and storage? This also means i can lower the shutter rate to 1/25 to capture more light at night. Is it worth it?
-
Maybe it was important to mention that im using megapixel ip cameras specifically an axis p3346, rainbow ipv1v3, panasonic wv-nw502s. Most dont have options for framerate except the panny. Im also using geovision and when using h264 there is no option to change framerate

http://www.arecontvision.com/product/MegaVideo+Series/av5105dn?gclid=CLTx5emg6K8CFUZN4Aodpj0r2g I have some used but in good working condition arecont vision av5105-dn 5 megapixel ip network cameras for sale. These cameras feature an ir cut filter that pops in place during day mode to filter out ir light and cuts out on night mode to allow ir light in. No lens is included unless you specify that you want an optional no brand name lens as shown. My best guess is that this is a 4mm lens. It is a fixed iris lens. This lens is not a megapixel rated or ir corrected lens so this will diminish the picture/color of the image. I only have 4 of these lens available on a first come first serve basis. Again, you must let me know if you want the lens, otherwise none will be included. I also have one pelco varifocal 4-10mm non megapixel/not ir corrected lens again first come first serve. I also have these lens available for an extra fee, ask me if interested: Tamron - 12vg1040 - 10-40 mm Tuss - VT2Z410CS - 4-10 mm Precision - VT3Z413M3 4.5-13 mm lens I personally powered up via poe and tested each camera and promise that it works fine. No other original accessories are included. Software is available at http://www.arecontvision.com/softwares.php?attr=194 Shipping will be $12 in the 48 states

thekuai replied to Flicks's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Ive been having the same dillema! The cheapest i can find arecont's dome is $122! I can get a good solid box enclosure for $25 but the wife does not approve, so i need a surface mount dome for my arecont cameras which will be mounted under an eave -
Dome options for Arecont Vision cameras?
thekuai posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I purchased an av1300m and was wondering what dome options are available for this camera. Must i have to use an AV dome? Can i use a 3rd party outdoor dome? I live in nyc so i do not need the heater option. Your recommendations are appreciated in advance! Thanks! -
Dome options for Arecont Vision cameras?
thekuai replied to thekuai's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I think the arecont dome is pricey at about $150. How could it cost so much? I paid that much for a cnb vcm-24vf!! (vandal proof dome) Does anyone know of more budget friendly domes? -

When you say i can use an Arecont or 3rd party are you referring to the style in the picture (box cam housing) or dome? I prefer dome for asthetics...i think it is a less intrusive/invasive appearance. This upgrade is for my house and im pretty much the only house on the block with cameras -

Hmm...on the arecont vision website they show that their 4" dome fits pretty much their entire lineup: http://www.arecontvision.com/product/Housings/4+Inch+Dome Are all dome housings generic? Or do mfg use propritary designs? -
This camera is on the mfg website, but i cant find it anywhere online?

Help with AVTECH IP Camera
thekuai replied to rdelgado's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Will this work with the geovision system? -
Bump, i am also curious. Also, can you record audio1 on all cameras? Or make the audio independent of the audio?
-
can someone explain to me how this works and what it is used for? I am familiar with how M/D works on the DVR end but how does it work on camera side?
-
Some CNB have setting Auto-B/W-Color check it out This is a very cheap dome. I looked in the manual and there is no option to enable or disable anything
-
I dont know what to say then I didnt do any full testing on them yet. I also was only buying them to be used for color only. But I am pretty certain the one I did test did switch to BW ... What I will do is see if I can pass by the person here that has that camera, and see if I can borrow it for a couple days, then let you know. I dont think they installed it yet When I did the basic test, I didnt change any settings though. I have to ask, are you 100% certain it is the DFL-20s Monalisa Dome? They have a few others in the same price range. I am very certain it is a dfl-20s. I purchased it from surveillance video dot com.

i'm talking avout the vcm-24vf
-
ok i think I understand how it works now. based on: It seems that you select an area to detect motion. If it detects motion it will then fill the screen with that selected area?
-
I don't understand. The dvr motion detection is based on analyzing the video feed and if "sees" motion it triggers the record. How does the camera mask your selected area? Does it black it out like with a privacy zone? If you have the motion detector zone setup and you view the feed what do you see different than if it was off?
