1.Use Arecont Soft 2. Your Shutter speed settings are High Speed ( between 1 and 80 ms) Speed short exposure time of 10 ms, but under low light conditions may increase the exposure up to 80 ms Balanced enables medium-duration exposures of 20 ms, but under low light conditions may increase the exposure up to 80 ms Quality longer exposures of 40 ms, but under low light conditions may increase the exposure up to 200 ms Moon Light enables very long exposures up to 500 ms

cool guy When designing a video analytics algorithm (say License Plate Recognition), there are certain pre-requisites like the pixel height of the License Plate text in the image, quality of the image etc which have to be taken into consideration for accurate recognition. With 1.3MP analog cameras, it might work best if you can focus the cameras for individual lanes. Just because a human can guess the text license plate from a 1.3MP camera covering 3 lanes (which I highly doubt), doesn't mean that the computer can recognize it too. If you can upload a sample image from the 1.3 MP analog camera covering 3 lanes of traffic and still read the text on License Plate, your arguments can be taken seriously. ----------------------------------------------------------- What is your opinion about number of horizontal pixels u need in order to capture lic plate for video analytics ? Thx would be nice if Soundy and jhonovich provide their opinion too Thx

Hmm i have opposite opinion Luxriot is kinda awkward and Exacq no problem but I did not play with Luxriot for long time I guess I should give them another try
-
quote] Luxriot - rocks. Based on Arecont SDK. Thx I use original Arecont or ExacqVision just for fun I can get u video clip done by soft which use true H.264 just incredible 10 frames per second for 20 sec at 1600x1200 only about 2.2 MB

any pix samples ? What soft do u use ?
-
[ But do you notice that varifocal lenses have less sharper images than fixed focal lenght lenses? yes i kinda agree with u and impossble to get focus from zoom in to zoom out range
-
Yes I can. I tried with ring, without ring, but picture doesn`t seem to be 100% perfect sharp, a littlebit smooth. Its fine on one camera, but on other 2 not. I can feel your pain just finish 5 -3100 DN install was using chinese 1/2 '' lenses in general I dont think i will be using Arecont anymore have a look pix was resize 1024x768 http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn217/ak357/1024x768.jpg HUGE mistake - using anything else than Computar, Tamron, Fujinon Everthying else - rubbish, not talking about some kind of Chinese miracles But picture seems to be ok to me. What tools do you use to focus varifocal lenses? I do have in stock all "famous" lenses cant see big difference I use my hands as "tools" dont have big problem to focus

ak357 replied to robert's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
It doesnt have minimum 10 I/O ports. It wont be some of the popular brands. I`m looking for this strange camera because government has tender with this kind of request for cameras. God knows who makes this kind of cameras. They gonna set up cameras on highways around country+add GSM/GPRS modem for image uploading to central server. ip camera plus ethernet based i/o ports device -
Can u provide link to "DVRactiveX" please Thx
