  6. I'll give you a another hint ! stop investing in crap get megapix cams
  7. What ever u do u need I/O (input/output) so if comp then u need capture card plus options for IP or NVR with IP servers like Avigilon for example and I/O card and few more combinations are avail lots of choices
  8. Hmm,I don't see any I/O on back of your DVR
  9. At least u admitted being wrong I respect that

    Prime Sdi Products

"They" get "Prime" directly from Korea "they" get oem faceplate for their DVR u will not be able to cut them "them" out but .....
  14. Lets do Team viewer session and show to me plz how your server not reading stream
  15. When the NVR server is running, it's a service on Windows, it's no displaying anything. When you run the client, clearly it has to stream at that point but you can chose to have it use a lower res stream for this purpose, but record the hi-res stream (assuming you have a camera with the dual streaming feature). Common buellwinkle even when it's service on win it still "collecting" IP streams from cameras for recording u should know this now are we talking about remote client or local client or both
  16. Hmm , so if it's not continously streaming how do you get Pix on screen ?

    Homebrew DDNS

You can run Teamviewer as service and then easily find your IP I personally use NO-IP
  18. Well, I can't tell anything about Dahua because I haven't used them, but so fat I have been using about 10 DS-4016 HCI cards and did not have any problems with them so far. I have one server with 4xDS-4016 HCI running unattended for more then 3 years. I am visiting that server about twice a year. Regarding Dahua picture - again, in still picture the difference is not so bad, but in live video especially when you know how it look before - the difference is very very bad, it is awful. I am not very picky but I would not change one of my 12 frames HCI 16 channel card to a pair of 25 frames VEC card. Why pay big money for quality cameras if Dahua will make them work like a 15 dollars worth junk camera? But if someone will point me how to solve the picture quality issue I would switch to Dahua, because they are twice cheaper and have 25 frames. I would trade Dahua card for HIK anytime sold and install few hundred few years back was very happy with HIK but heard enough problems with Dahua do not offer HIK anymore switch to only IP and HD-SDI
  19. Do you mean when you zoom in with the camera, or when you zoom in on the recorded video? Good question yes, on recorded video 1.zoom in 2.without zoom in
  20. Well u can be easily prove wrong I can show u plate completely white under IR ( as u call white rectangle) but when u zoom in u can easily read plate Of course how it's done is BIG secret
  21. OP was not talking about OCR at all He simply want to capture best possible shot of Lic plate Shall I type slow for you ?
  22. I am more conservative 75 pix minimum per foot even day time
  23. my 2 cents:) evev if Dahua upgrade to latest ONVIF to me it does not mean that Avigilon will do motion recording from Dahua cameras time will show
