Daskew do not waste your time ! I can tell you few or more story about Asian cameras with "ONVIF" compliant BS It is not ONVIF problem it is how they implement protocol inside cameras so far very poor or it will work fine with their own software

What did u try Avigilon server and client or client only ?

Easy when client ask for video its create temp file before it will show up (that takes time) look for temp dir if u want to find actual "file" once u stop searching it will self delete

Thx for info should check more often guess will have to update some "happy" customers but in mean time I am done with Exacq they are "day care" app compare with Avigilon the same can be sad about their support p.s. I am sure they still buffer video for client suck

Do you mean at what point would I try to "cap" the bandwidth to prevent overrunning the NIC? I would personally try to keep it at 400Mbps or less, but I think in general you will find that the HDD sustained write speed (especially with occasional reads if someone is going to be watching or searching recorded video at times) is going to be the bigger limiting factor. My number is slightly smaller the yours (400Mbps) other wise agree with rest
