Connecting a mic on a dvr

Any *dynamic* mic should work without an amp, although you may find an amp is required depending on the sound level you're trying to record. Avoid condenser mics, as they need to be powered, which most often means using a battery - last thing you need is to be replacing a mic battery every few months. If I remember correct DVR Audio In (Input) is at Line Level Meaning dynamic mic will need Amp Line level is usually between -10 to +4 dbm in strength while MIC levels are normally -60 dbm.
  6. Some DVR company have few different GUI Bitmaps to support different resolutions
  7. Yeea no problem just visit your local Costco if you have in your country and pick up any $50 bucks camera they will perform even better then your $1300 Camcorder -------------------------- Sorry ppl can't hold my self....

  10. JD are you saying that cloning displays will work ? Not cloning! Extending, but now we are trying to figure out if it will work on 1920x1080 * 2 or if it is only in 1024x768 * 2. So if have 2 monitors and setup graphic cards setup to extend the monitor size to 2048x768 you will get something like this: But I can not confirm this to work in 2 X 1080P yet! I ordere a new 24" LCD right now to test! Then you will have camera 1-4 on M1 and 5 - 8 on M2, offcourse you can also have cam 1 - 16 on M1 and cam 17 - 32 on M2 depending on your chanel viewing setup! JS ok I guess i never try this hmm have try one day on another hand nobody ask me keep us posted plz thx
  11. JD are you saying that cloning displays will work ?

  13. Luxriot will not work with Geovision They using somebody else card But you can run both analog and IP on Geovision too! If it is not a copy then! JD That said, I had Luxriot and others using a GV250 2 port geo card on just 1 channel, using the Bt878 drivers Additionally, Geo was doing well until 8.2 and their IP Camera integration with a crap load of more services and add ons. They need to take a step back and just do what they do well, DVR cards. With 8.3 you have no choice but to load your DVR down with a ton of rubbish they make you install now. Sorry, they lost me there. Well soon you will see 8.3.2 and with added functions so DREAM ON! JD If I remember correct Geo IP cam is Dynacolor
  14. Sorry by "mother" I meant Software company

JD JD I know that I personnaly hate Geo never sold and will never try simply dont care about them I am ok with HIK so far but lately less and less PC based more stand alone and IP NVR
  19. Luxriot will not work with Geovision They using somebody else card
  20. DVI set for 1920 X 1080 second DVI or VGA set for same res clone and u have the same pix on both monitors do it all the time
  21. Not necessarily.. someone has to write the driver (or interface) to take full advantage of their as well as other brand cameras. Hmm To me if camera support standard then it simply works with software which support the same standard Explain your point plz What he say is that in ONVIF there will be some basic features that will be the same on the ONVIF cameras, like maybe video stream standards, ID functions unit communications. And probably many more features, but all brands will still keep their own touch and different features on a lower level in the SDK so that ONVIF will support many things, but the features that will make the brands different will need a different layer of drivers and SDK. JD Hmm that sucks I believe before that we will have "NTSC" for IP world I guess wait and see
