  1. Sorry, Ted, I did not reply because I thought I was set to get emails when someone replied, but i've gotten nothing from this thread. This issue has fizzled out and in the same realm I have a greater need. I'll start a new thread regarding it- IP cameras and multiplexing public monitors. http://www.cctvforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=29797
  2. I'm testing Bosch (BRS) and Pelco (Digital Sentry) IP digital cctv systems for our school district. Does anyone know of a good solution to providing public view(information) monitors that can grab the streams off the network? We'll be using an autonomous network for cctv within a school location. 1. I think a kiosk type compact PC may be the answer, but we'd need software to show multiplexed feeds (pref up to 16) or sequence quad screens, etc. 2. It would be great to be able to pull down 4-6 analog 19" lcds and replace it with one 55" hidef monitor. That seems to lead to a problem of having enough "umph" to drive all the video and not have the images start growing mold on them. Any ideas?
  3. I need multiplexed images on one monitor. Sometimes 4 images at once, sequenced, sometimes 16 images at once.
  4. Ted, I looked at the video matrix, and do not see that it can throw multiplexed images onto a monitor. Am I missing something about it? I also need an alternative to the LTC 2682/90, since I can't find them anymore.
  5. Sorry- I never read these things. Your LTC 2682/90 will work if you cascade the RJ12 oddly. If it doesn't work normally, which is IN to OUT, then cascade one at a time by going IN to IN. Then use OUT to IN on the next one. By testing your controller with one mux, then two, etc., you can find the order that works. Sometimes I'll cascade 3 of 5 muxes normally, but one in the middle will have to use this odd setup. Yes, I think a crossover cable in the right place would do the same function.
  6. It's true. I'm finding out it's hard to upscale the images. Works fine with IP cameras, lots out there to do what we need. But I need it for analog systems. Still have a few options to try. Thanks.
  7. Does no one use these muxes anymore? I was searching for cascading issues with this mux, and saw no one ever answered this. I'm wondering if the cascading ribbon cables are wired straight or crossover when going out to in through all connected muxes. I have 6 to control through a kbd digital.
  8. That looks like it might work. I'm checking on it now, and trying to figure out which model I'd need, "a", "d", or "U". I'm looking at the 16U1V. Thanks for your help!
  9. I'm new here, but needed to find somewhere I could get info on this problem: Bosch DiBos 8 DVRs Bosch System 4 multiplexers (ltc2682/90) We want to go with large format monitors for public viewing in our schools. These muxes won't do it. I can't feed from DVR VGA output, either. Very impractical. How can we multiplex (4 x 4) our cameras onto a large format monitor(s)?
