I didnt realize the back piece wasnt needed. I will have to take a closer look tomorrow and see if I can remove it. Thanks

The kt&c looks just like that. Any suggestions on how to install it in the wall? I am trying to avoid cutting the wall up. The back end of the camera is larger then the front. I found a metal circle piece that I can place over the lens to cover the additional room from the hole. I was thinking about drilling a hole the size of the wider back portion of the camera. I am not sure how to mount it in the wall. I haven't done this yet so any suggestions would be great. I would prefer to have this installed in the wall so the lens is flush.

The viking boxes look nice. They are a bit pricey so I decided to go with the KT&C camera. I will do the install in the next few days. Thanks

JC322 is right its not hard to get the manual. here it is in pdf http://www.cctvengineer.com/NV_series_Manual_EN_v7.7.pdf A very helpful manual indeed: "Press the NV8416E4 cards into the PCI-Ex1 slot firmly." lol I am not sure what you are looking for that manual is 254 pages. If you cant find what you need contact Aver support, they are very helpful. Goodluck -

My card only came with a quick user manual. You can d/l the manual online when you get the software. The manual is over 100 pages so they want you to grab the .pdf -
thanks everyone for the reply. I am referring to recording to 2 places at the same time. I would like to have a second place if someone was able to gain access and steal the computer. is it possible to record to one place and have a real time back up being made to a second place? how can i go about partitioning my c drive now without messing with my setup? i was under the impression that would have to be done during the original install.

I am running 7 32 bit. What is the best way for me to setup a backup? I wouldn't mind keeping it onsite it doesn't have to be offsite. Any ideas? Would I be able to have real time back-up? I will look into partioning my C drive. How much room would 7 32bit need?

I like the idea of partitioning the OS drive for exporting saved video. You said it was easy to do in windows 7. How can I go about it without messing up the OS? I have my additional two 1TB drives installed.

I have a intercom door system tied into our phone system. I would like to add some sort of fisheye camera next to the bell to see who is at the door. I realize I might have to create a mount or something for a board camera. do you have any camera suggestions? or general suggestions? The person will be a few feet away from the camera and I would like to set it up around eye level. (avg height) A typical over the door set up will not work, since I need to see the face. Thanks in advance to all the great people that have answered any of my questions.

Hello, I am looking for some recommendations with respect to 3.5 sata drives. I need to get two 1TB or 1.5 TB drives for a Pc that I am going to install a avermedia 6480. I am assuming that some drives are better for writing and storage of video from the cameras. Thanks -
thanks for the reply... What kind of hardrives of your using in there? I know they have to be 3.5 Sata but I was curious if you prefer any one 7200 over another? I believe I can fit an additional two in there correct?
