Yeah, I missed that biting sarcasm, hey ho, no wonder for a non-native speaker of English. I take your line to my credit though, somehow you concluded my post was translated by a native speaker. -

Yeah, admin and user guides and release notes etc. Some marketing stuff too. Can send you a sample. Translators we have a couple, Amercian, non-geek. Basically shopping around for editors who 'd twist the wording into more tech-savvy style. But whatever role suits you most... -

Thanks everybody, Again, we work with European and American translators who have been with us for years and still sometimes lack understanding or industry -specific terms in their own language. Anybody "steeped in the lore of CCTV and analytics" who wish to contribute by proofreading our manuals and brochures in English, German, French, Spanish, Russian and get a solid reward are welcome. -

I really appreciate, sir. I have long been looking for a more or less comprehensive VMS features review get things like Loitering or Forensics right. Sort of a table where similar features differently branded go under one category like Motion Trigger and Motion Synopsis would belong to the same category, say Object Synopsis. I got a PRO membership with ipvideomarket.info and so much I found is: vms_competitive_comparison_2010 Not quite what I am looking for. -

Hi guys, We are a translation agency working for a major European VMS vendor. They got a new feature now that we want to give a proper name in English. Basically you choose a time frame for video footage and this add-on shows you all objects that moved over this time. You pick one of the snapshots on the screen and go to playback. Would Time Compressor sound ok? Or rather Motion Cut? Thanks -

Funny, I get people from nearly all industries who are happy to make pretty good money by rewriting good or sometimes excellent translations of ours and no one here seems to be interested. Now think about 100-200 bucks for just a few hours a day doing what you best can do. -

Hello everybody, We are an international translation team very involved in the security industry. We are currently operating in English, German, Spanish, Russian. Now due to expansion and in an effort to boost quality we welcome security pros to take a stab at translating or editing for us. You would get a good quality translation by a native speaker of your language and you would put a final touch on it and eliminate occasional blunders. 100-200 USD for a few hours work if you proofread our manuals. Please message me up for details, Sincerely, J.
