  1. One 2.2MP h.264 @ 22FPS continous = 255kps Normal bandwith at this resolution and framerate using H.264 is 255kbs, sometimes jumping to 305kbs. In contrast we have one 2.2 megapixel MJPEG camera running @14FPS it averages 1500kbs.
  2. Can u tell us please what kinda bandwith u pushing with 20 Arecont using Highwire adapter in total Thx Between 6 and 7mbs for 20 cameras. Usually 255kbs per camera.
  3. We have 20 Arecont megapixel H.264 cameras on ONE RG59 cable using the Highwire High-Speed Ethernet over Video Cable Adapter. Here the link http://www.veracityusa.com/products/highwire/hwdatasheet.pdf
  4. Agreed, a lot less vendors, no downstairs this year. A lot of IP stuff. I thought the video wall was kinda of cool and cheesy at the same time. Language barrior in the foreign vendors. Although I saw a girl at the NUUO booth who spoke japanese, english and spanish...Pretty impressive!! Food was cheap at the buffets and booze was free at the vendor parties and while gambling! Noticed not as many product models this year. I guess budget cuts affected the eye candy too Overall a smaller show but a good one none the less! It's kinda hard to have a bad time in Vegas!!
  5. You could run conduit which would be a huge PITA.

    Images degrading after an hour..

Run a daytime test with the short cables to see if the camera fails after an hour or so. Beware of those cheap Ebay cameras. Were they used and what brand?

Few questions-What kind of power supply are you using? What is the distance from the power supply to the camera? Is the image only bad at night when the IR's are on? What is your favorite color?

How to "flip" an image on the Sony Exwave Camera

I think you installed your camera upside down. you need to take down the camera and move the mounting bracket to the opposite side of the camera. The mounting bracket has several small screws in them. Simply reverse the bracket and your camera and image will be right side up.

High Heat Install! Arizona! It's Summer!

I've lived in Phoenix my whole life and I've seen my fair share of shotty installs. Exposed cameras in direct sun, enclosed cameras without a blower in direct sun etc. The cameras I've replace in those situation still worked, but had some image distortion and definately shortens the life of the camera. Most cameras are rated for 122 degrees (50 deg C) and you shouldn't have a problem if you use a blower or install under an eave out of direct sunlight. Anyone remember June 26, 1990 when it was 122 degrees?
