  1. Thanks for the info. I'm little bit wiser now but still on a very low cctv level I think I make some small scale testing with only one cheap camera and see what the result looks like. I probably chose another site instead of these Chinese guys. /Thanks
  2. Yes it seems very cheap. Do you know any test of low budget cameras. I like to get a view of what I can expect versus price.... /Thanks
  3. Hi, I'm really new to this. I need a camera at my house's backyard covering a distance of 1-8 meters. It will be operating in mostly darkness or in heavy light. Heavy light if 4 times 500Watts beams is turned on by IR detectors I googled a Sharp 420TVL 0,1/0 Lux camera for $22. Is this really a correct price for a working camera as above? [edit by mod-store link removed] Moderator didn't like my link so here are the specs.. Model: DEC-981P 1/4 Sharp CCD 420TVL Day/Night Vision IR Camera $22.00 * CCD type: color Sharp 1/4-inch CCD 420TVL * Pixels: PAL (H x V): 512 x 582 NTSC (H x V): 512 x 492 * Scanning system: PAL and NTSC * Horizontal resolution: 420TVL * Minimum illumination: 0Lux (IR on) * S/N ratio: more than 48dB * Video output: 1.0Vp-p/75 Ohms * AGC: auto * Back light compensation: auto * Electronic shutter: 1/50 (1/60) to 1/1,00,000 seconds * Gamma correction: 0.45 * Synchronization system: internal synchronization * IR view distance: 10 to 15m * Lens: 6mm (standard) * Power supply: 12V DC * Operation temperature: -20 to 50 degrees Celsius I just need to know if the camera is any good and if the price is right? /Pelle
