Is it possible to connect a AD ADEDVR009008 EDVR directly to the j-box to control AD Speed Dome?
We had a working system here when we bought the building, until our building contractor hacked off the wires in the control room and left the monitor, ADTT16E, EIM, multiplexer and VHS recorder in a pile.
I would like to switch from VHS to the EDVR I picked up. Looking thru the manual, it describes how to hook it up to the ADTT16E. But why would I want to do that? I would like relocate the coax and mount the EDVR in our server rack with no monitor and control the domes remotely.
Sorry if this is a basic question. I am trying to get a grasp on this deal. Let me know if any additional info might help me get it sorted.
