Try disabling your firewall and see it that helps.

I think Cnb terms that as electronic shutter control. edit: How do you know I have alot of handguns xD?
-
Or set the lens to ESC and avoid the frustration xD.
-
I don't like when moving objects are recorded and all you get is a blur. That's why I use the electronic shutter. Here's the network cam I told you about, lighted by 18 watts of spiral fluorescent.
-
Shoots. Half wrong on both of them xD. How's that DC working for you?
-
1 and 6 are on esc?
-
2 and 4 are not Cnb's.

If the term washout is meant as not being able to cope with brightness (sun) then no. Very sunny here in Hawaii. But my 2 outside cams have no view of the sky. I remember reading on this forum to set the cam on DC. Tried that and various shutter speeds, settings and resorted back to ESC. My cams are probably first generation. No gamma settings on mine.
-
Yes. That's a shadow from a tree lighted by a street light 200 feet away. There is also a street light 40 feet in front of the car. The Cnb adjusts shutter speed very well automatically, at least in my application.
-
On my CNB's I set the LENS setting in the menu to ESC instead of DC. No motion blur with any moving objects, day or night. edit: Well some motion blurring at night. Car about 20mph on a moonless night.

Isn't 4cif and D1 the same? edt: ok I got it. D1 is 720x480 and 4CIF is 704x480.

How to find the cameras sweet spot.
D.V.S. replied to Merlin3100's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
A friend of mine has one from Ebay. Search for (16 CHANNEL ULTIMATE SERIES H.264 REALTIME SECURITY DVR). Nice unit for around $1700. But 7fps at D1 will be sufficient most of the time. Is your live view at home (not on outside network) showing the hash marks too? -

Like I said before, this is typical of CIF recording. Please record in D1 at 7fps and you should see an improvement on your recorded video's. Or is that a live snapshot? -
Like looking through a bug screen?

That's an interlace problem. Either de-interlace or if your dvr automatically de-interlaces then try to manually de-interlace the video yourself. My lorex dvr does the same thing as it does not automatically de-interlace. edit: I see that you are recording in CIF. The above does not apply to CIF since it is non-interlaced. Your video is normal for CIF recording. Try recording in D1 at 7fps. -

Try to see if there is a setting on your dvr to deinterlace. If not then follow this guide below. I personally use the smooth deinterlace filter with avisynth, processed through virtualdub. http://www.100fps.com/ -
You can try this free (trial) program. Not the best but give it a shot. Adobe Photoshop has more user options which results in a better picture than Topaz moment. And I agree with SEANHAWG. http://download.cnet.com/Topaz-Moment/3000-13633_4-10326822.html

I lol'ed at the no suing part.

Could be the wide angle camera he's using though. Just make sure you use a Sandisk ultra sdhc because I have used cheaper ones and they don't work. At least on my March Networks 720p minidomes. I love March Networks and their support.

Here try this. It's in russian but it should open up a file download, just wait for it. http://slil.ru/29345066

A cheap china made mini dvr with sdhc support for $86. Look in comments for video sample. http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.39806

This Poe switch can provide power for 4 cams. Just plug and play for about $60. http://www.amazon.com/TRENDnet-8-Port-100Mbps-PoE-Switch/dp/B000QYEN1W/ref=sr_1_12?tag=gpse-20&ie=UTF8&qid=1292935558&sr=8-12

Virtualdub can do both and it's free. http://www.virtualdub.org/

Hi. You will have to first install their software which will include a video player. That video player has an avi save button, and that avi format will play in any player. So basically, install software (player), open backup file with player, and save with player in the avi format. You can save snapshots of the avi file in most standard video players. If you want you can "fine tune" the picture with Adobe photoshop CS4, which is what I use.

Strange format .AVH , how to play it on computer , see video
D.V.S. replied to vwrafi's topic in Digital Video Recorders
The original video files will only be playable with the supplied video player. You can convert the original video via the player by pressing the avi button. This will convert it to a standard avi file that will play in most players, provided you have an avi codec installed (which most new players do). The factory codec is supplied in the ClientSoftware but it will only work on your AVH player. -
Lol. Me too at first. The "wobble" is most notable in the last few seconds of the video. Very slight though.
