Q-See IP Camera/NVR package
mbhsaz replied to mbhsaz's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
buellwinkle, Appreciate your input. I thought it supports recording 4 1080p cameras at 30FPS each, the main reason why I was so interested in this NVR plus it has 4 built-in POE ports. Am I reading it correctly? Below is from Costco's product page. HIGHLIGHTED FEATURES: Full HD Recording Resolution: The 4 channel NVR captures video in real-time HD 1920x1080p resolution on all channels. Easily recognize people and objects at reasonable distances. - HD 1080p Recording* Real-time: 120 FPS Total (30 FPS on Each Channel) *HD 1080p IP camera required http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11766186&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|1482&N=4000486&Mo=87&No=25&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=1482&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&topnav= TIA -
I came across this thread on the board and thought of re-posting it under IP/megapixel section. As a newbie I am interested in this value package. Has anyone tried this? Also, is it possible to add Dahua cameras e.g.: IPC-HDB3200C ?? viewtopic.php?f=53&t=31756

Will Q-See NVR support IPC-HDB3200CN ? I am thinking to get this package from Costco and add 2 more IPC-HDB3200CN to the setup. How is quality of 1.3MP cameras that come with the package? TIA

Don't get me wrong.... I was only comparing it with night shot of mobotix m12's.... BTW, shouldn't a 4MP produce a better picture than a 3MP? viewtopic.php?f=19&t=11322&start=225

shropna Thanks and pardon my ignorance, but why does night shot look so awful? I was expecting much better image from a 4MP True Day/Night Camera. Can it be tweaked further? However, day shot look good to me. Any Idea know how far is black pickup truck from the camera? I got below when trying to connect to your link: 09/06/2010 6:13:25 W02 POWER RECOVER(POWER LOSS 07/06/2010 7:27:12) TIA.

I need your advise on this dome. I am planning to use it for our 70' x 70' parking lot. There are motion lights and also some street lights. How is the image quality specially at night? I already tried CNB VBM-24VF, but can't see the face after more than a few feets. This dome will give us good face recognition at a distance we need (per IP/CCTV design tool) but I am concerned about image quality. So what do you think? TIA

Hi all, I am new here. Just bought this camera after reading several posts on this board. I want to change lens zoom to 2.8mm but can't figure how to do that. Do I need to move the zoom lever to left/right or change it using the screwdriver? Also, do I need to do any other tweaks? TIA

clearsignal, Did you mean your VCM-24VD came as 2.8-10.5mm lens? Today, I placed order for VBM-24VD from 123Security, but later realized, on their website they have incorrectly put it as 2.8-10.5mm instead of 4-9mm (per CNB specs). I am need of a 2.8mm lens, and would have to send VBM-24VD back if they are not 2.8mm.
