I sent a PM

Did you simply try typing your public IP address without any ports after it, if not, try it? if you want to PM me your Public IP I can check to see if your ports are open correctly.

I incorrectly told you that you needed to forward port 37776 in my above post, What I meant was you needed to forward port 37778. 37776 has nothing to do with your DVR, sorry for the confusion. I have edited my comment above to clarify. So there are 3 ports that you need to forward 37778, 80 and 37777. There probably isnt another remote software out there that will work with your DVR. Besides, we have WebService on some of our DVR's and it works great. I am pretty sure its your router configuration. Whenever you get a chance to go to your site, try making the 3 rows of data like I said in the above post to see if that works. If not, please post a screen shot of your router config page to have us verify. It should look like this: Local IP Address - Protocol - Local Port DVR IP - TCP+UDP - 80 DVR IP - TCP+UDP - 37777 DVR IP - TCP+UDP - 37778 Maybe but probably not. Usually you can assign an individual port to go into your router remotely, for example 8080. So you would type in PUBLICIP:8080 outside your network to remotely access your router. Besides, even if you cant access your routers admin from outside your network, how often do you really need to do that? If you get it set up properly, you will probably really never need to access your routers admin page again, and if you do, it will probably be onsite.

She must really be bored, cant she think of a better prank than that? I mean if you are going to be a prankster, you might as well do it right. I aint a prankster by any means but if I was, I would atleast do a prank that I would get some sort of amusement from.

Your Router configuration page is incorrect. You need to forward ports 80, 37777, and 37776. I dont think port 554 has anything to do with this DVR so dont worry about that. Looking at your router settings, you dont have port 37777 forwarded. And I am not real familiar with that router configuration page ( I am used to Netgear), but you need 2 more rows of data on your port forwarding table. You need another row with port 37777 as your local port and another row with 37776 as your local port. And you need to remove anything from the public port fields ( I think, please someone correct me if I am wrong) So remove 37776 from the first row on your public port field and add another row for 37776 as a local port, and of course do the same thing for 37777 After you do this, go to CanYouSeeMe.org and type in the port #'s 37777, 37776, and 80 to check to see if your ports are open. If they are, you should be able to log in remotely from outside your network. ****Edit***** Sorry for the confusion. Replace the numbers 37776 in this post to 37778. I read wrong when I initially looked your DVR page.

Does the DVR allow you to obtain an IP through DHCP?

Try using another stored username and password to see if that helps. It sounds like you dont have ports forwarded on your router. If you reset your router, this info was more than likely wiped. You will need to forward the appropriate ports on your router.

Anybody knows PTZ installing plz help me

I am very sorry but that is not enough info for me to supply you with any sort of answer. After reviewing your photos again, I noticed that by the BNC connector there are 2 sets of wires. 1 set is probably for power and I assume the other set is for RS-485. Since they are both colored blue, that really doesnt help much at all. Shoot an email to the supplier and have them give you the color codes for the wires. Ask them which ones are for power and which ones are for RS-485 -

Post a picture of the sticker. Also look in the documentation to see if there is something to show what each color coded wire does. For example Green=Zoom, Grey = Iris, Blue= focus, etc. Look for something like this and post picture on here. I would be surprised to see if there isnt RS-485 connections on there. Usually A = + and B = -. But any pictures of the documentation explaining stuff like this would be helpful to us. -
Any screwdriver that will work basically. Precision screwdrivers seem to work best. Is it a DC or Video driven auto-iris?

I have always wondered why they make such large housings for. Even the bigger box cameras do not fill up the housing. I have seen some Pelco housings at a quick trip that were about half the size of a normal housing that looked great. I am not sure why that design never took on more with other manufacturers.

I know what you mean, I was just thinking that today getting frustrated with a camera I was toying with via RS-485 Of the couple handful of cameras I have tested that have OSD via RS-485, here is what I have noticed for the menu functions on most of them. But this not true with all of course so I dont think there is a standard unfortunately. The Iris Function opens up the menu The zoom function moves up and down between selections The Focus function selects and enters "sub menu's" or in essence is "enter"

I would hate to accidentally break one of those, drop them in the lake, drop them off the ladder, etc. -

There should be a sticker wrapped around the cable that has 6 wires explaining what each wire does. Is that sticker there? -

I would be curious to see what a camera that can see that far would cost. I imagine the lens alone would be $10,000+ -
We have received some of those in the past and they just have an old school B/W camera in them. Not sure why they have such a gigantic housing though. They have them here to all over our local county court house. Time to upgrade.

The 6 Wires are probably for direct control of the pan, tilt, and zoom if you wanted to use an encoder. There should be some RS-485 connections too. Are the wires not labeled? Without that you will have a hard time figuring out what does what. -
I am not a balun user but I would think that you should not have a problem with passive baluns at 35'
-
I dont see anything wrong with it but I have never used it so I couldnt give a firm recommendation. For the application that you are putting this in, you really dont need anything with alot of bells and whistles anyways. It has pretty decent specs though, true day/night is always good. I like the way it looks too. You may want to install a small cheap seperate illuminator if your room gets real dark at night, you wouldnt need much for a room that size. I would almost want a wider lens for that area but it shouldnt be too bad as long as you put the camera in a corner in order to get as much of the room in the field of view as possible. As far as using active baluns, how far is your cable run from the camera to the hybrid NVR?

You know whenever you type something into google and in the middle of typing it will start to show suggested results. Little did I know that those were humans doing that, apparently google is looking to fill some jobs for this line of work: http://www.google.com/intl/en/jobs/uslocations/mountain-view/autocompleter/index.html

I have bought cable before that says it is a copper core. Well yeah that was partially true, Copper Clad is what it turned out to be. If it doesnt come out and say "Solid Copper Center Conductor" then you will have to ask the seller directly. Copper Clad power wires are okay, but you dont want copper clad coax conductor.

I would also like to see someone that is used to using a hand calculator try to use one of these:
