  1. Thanks. I managed to do it by selecting the manual option in ediit camera setting and entering the cameras ip address.
  2. Hi I have a DS-7732NI-I4 16p/kb with a 24port poe switch. What i want to do is connect all the ip cameras (20) throught the switch. However it seems that when adding anymore than 16 to the switch it displays "no more ip camera allowed" when trying to activate them. At the same time it wont let me delete the first 16 cameras .(D1-D16 ). Does that mean that hikvisaion want you to use the onboard 16 ports and only 16 can be connected via the LAN? Thanks in adavnce.

    Ok thanks. It's just that the retailer contacted me after an online purchase offering me the 24v version and I wasn't to sure as to why.

    if i go with the avermedia card , will i have to get another avermedia card If i wanted to view the footage from another remote site along-side the footage from the office ?

    Sorry I meant remote site at a diffrent location. If i wanted to view the footage from the remote site along side the footage from the office would i need to buy the same manufaturers card?

  9. Hi I have a budget of £500 for a dvr card. Need to view and record 5 cameras 24/7. Also I would want to view a remote site in the near future on the same display. So which card do i go for?? Ive had a look at GeovisionsGV8000 specs as well as gv1120. also had a look at the specs for avermedias NV7240. Any help and input will be greatly appreciated.
  10. Hi we currentrly have a AVtech 4 CH cctv system. The boss has asked me to update the system to a 8 CH system. On top of this he also wants to see fotage from a new site. One of the main funtion we need is motion detection saved as pictures on the hard drive. So the question is whcih card is best for the job???
