Was there motion? I mean 8 minutes...???

If I build one I'll show it off, but I just use the default blue/silver as it matches my company colors. It's cool too as tons of software uses blue/silver! I love it.

Camera and enclosure require seperate power?
CollinR replied to Reighn328's topic in Security Cameras
Yo can usually daisy chain the 24VAC to the heater. I haven't seen a 12VDC heated housing so make sure you are prepared. -
Any thoughts? http://www.google.com/tisp/

My colors are blue and silver... No need to modify the GUI for my own installs. The thing I would do is use overlay better... However that takes more then swapping image files.

You'll either need a pair of wires for the PTZ data or an up the coax system. You'll also probably need 18 gauge or more power wire.

I dunno but I have had audio problems with multiview, seems to drop the audio if you change the screen division (among other things). Have to reconnect to get it back.

Geo alarm to temp change view
CollinR replied to uglyb0b's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
It too am unsure of this, I bought a bunch of GV IO stuff but never tested it for popup like that. -
I do it all the time, just use a quality camera and you are good to go. BW can carry greater resolution over the same cable (RG59), it typically superior however you can't identify things by color (cars).

Yeah it's in the permissions, password setup.

In wall is not entry level. ATX and even 4U can be entry level but not in the wall. There is a case inside the wall case so you can hot swap the DVR, that in itself jumps the cost up. You can get off lease/used fujitsu tablets on ebay $250. So I often just refer people there, they are used but still sweet and can be docked on a wall. Wifi means the EU can roam their facility with it.

I'm the source, thats basically all I do. Dealers just explain what they do and where they have troubles and I make a package to ease, enhance and overcome.
-
I have in-wall options now, so no space lost. Easier to wire, harder to locate. Headless so not monitor nearby. Add in a table PC and you are golden. Soon I'll have the whole shebang in one box fortified and concealed. Dealer/Installer can remote a power supply simular to an Alarm installation. Bigger leads to the DVR of course, now siamese really works for them.

Bye Evelyn... That didn't last too long did it.

Sounds like a job for Geo and control center. You can give the gaurd a wifi tablet to lug around, it can be in or outside the shack assuming there is wifi. How many cams though? 4 DVRs it should be a bunch or clusters very seperated.

If you can add-on the GV loop out and use a basic multiplexor. Then you can modulate that to an unused TV channel. Optionally you can get a baseband amp and just distribute it over RG59 but he'll have to change inputs on the TVs.

I haven't ever had a ground loop with AC current, as you pointed out building to building (maximizes your example) I have them almost 100% but it's just been on the DC stuff. I guess I shouldn't say it doesn't happen just because it hasn't to me. Must be an OK thing too as most here seem to look to the video path for the loop whereas it seems both of us look straight to the power path. All I know is the okies are right on that one, it's most often on the power side...

Who sells Honeywell CCTV Products?
CollinR replied to Agent_Jay23's topic in General Digital Discussion
Honeywell = Ademco ADI = Ademco Distributor's Incorperated Kinda makes it rough. -
I hope I didn't just learn a real expensive lesson.
CollinR replied to sbbamafan's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
You are hosed, that guy is a dumbass. Never EVER trust a salesman... A tech that can sell maybe... I'm pretty sure your attempt to run 40VAC would both violate the NEC and probably be a fire hazard. -
You should only use Intel northbridge chipsets with bandwidth intensive PCI devices.

How to change ip address on linksys for port forwarding?
CollinR replied to pk5's topic in Computers/Networking
Captian, if you are still having troubles PM me. I have a new app I want to test as a support/troubleshooting service. -
It also locks people in, I would really evaluate your local laws and inform your insurance company. I would also bump up to the fire alarm installer styled 5-10 million policies. Fail secure is not something to toy with...

You got a good camera, I'm glad of that. I know I can't help with a laptop, all of my devices are real deal hardware encoders that sit on the PCI bus. They capture 640x480 at 30fps into MPEG2, it's essentially the highest quality you will get from an analog setup. I use them in home theater systems, the cost for CCTV would be too high ~$100-150/channel max 2 per PCI slot. With what you are discribing I think it can be done 100% solid state, you could drop kick it. Pretty nutty stuff is possible now at reasonable prices. What would you call a product that would compete with this, troubleshooting machinery? Dig some of that info up. If I think I can build and sell them I would consider building a demo unit at a reduced rate.

Use failsafe stuff until you know what you are doing! (Door will unlock during power loss, keep people from dieing tring to escape fire!!!)

You connect just like you do from home EXCEPT, you use the internal LAN IP of the server. It's probably something like 192.168.1.2. This forces it to not go out to the internet but stay on the local network, much much faster. On the server if you go to the start menu... click run type cmd hit enter type ipconfig hit enter If you post the results we can tell you your server's internal IP if you can figure it out.
