  1. Thanks to both of you for your help.
  2. I'm currently running a GV650 card on a Dell PC that just uses on board graphics. I was thinking of upgrading to a better Geovision card, but notice that the minimum PC spec seems to require a graphics card. The problem I have is that my PC only has one PCI-E slot so if I was to install a graphics card in that I wouldn't be able to go for any of the Geovision cards that require the PCI-E slot. I'm guessing that would limit my options to the GV800 card as that only requires a PCI slot. I was therefore wondering if running a better spec Geovision card just wouldn't work without a graphics card? If anyone can think of any way round this (other than buying a new motherboard!) that would be a big help.
  3. Hello. I'm a new member and would be very grateful for some help. I have a Geovision GV650 system at my shop and it's run very well for a couple of years. When it was installed it only ever had seven cameras, so I recently decided to install an additional camera. I noticed the 'limit port' setting on Geovision was set to seven, so I swithced this off. I pluged in the new camera into connection 8 at the PC and got Geovision to install it and the picture appeared okay. However, the quality of the footage is very poor. It has little colour and is quite white and ghostly to look at. I tried plugging the new camera into a different connection at the PC and it worked okay. I then tried plugging an existing camera into connection 8 at the PC and the picture went ghostly too. It would appear there is something wrong with connection 8 at the PC, but I'm not sure whether it's the cable, PC card or some sort of setting on the software. Does anyone have any ideas that I can try to resolve this problem? Thanks.
