  1. I have NVR Dongle (3rd party software) with GV-1240 System. The AXIS cameras worked great, the DVR reset and knocked me off. Thenm I noticed the AXIS cameras are not Connecting. This worked for 2 months beautifully. Now, when I go back to install the IP Cameras- during configure it only says "Connecting" it never connects. Then, because it never connects, in configure the AXIS camera is not listed in the drop down list to select. When I select Remote Viewing, the IP cameras operate great but they won't connect to the DVR to record. Could it be that the Dongle went bad? is there a way to test it?, its only 3 months old -does anyone know if they're under warranty? It may not be the Dongle but if I can be pointed in the same direction, that will help. Any help is appreciated.

    GV-1240A (8 cam)- Viewlog issue

    Customer called and said they have an issue with Viewlog. When trying to Merge the video (to AVI) only a 2 minute clip, it receives a fatal error that says "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library, Runtime Error!, Program:C\Multicam\Viewlog.exe, abnormal program termination. I believe the Video irecording is still on the system. I'm installing a newer Geovision system next week but I'm trying to avoid wasting a weekend to drive 6 hours. I duplicated the problem on Remote Desktop and Database repair was already performed. It records and views fine, just when Merging to avi. Anyone have any suggestions?

    GV-1240 Major problem

    This thing is getting worse almost everyday. I can't run Repair Database-it keeps saying another application is running. I logout and exit from MultiCam. The problem is now the audio cannot be played back, just noise. However, you can Merge and save it to another drive so that is the only thing that is saving me.. Does anyone know how to Run Repair Database? Like I said I logout of Multicam but everytime I go to C:MultiCam/RepairLog500 and try to run it says another application is running. Can someone provide me pointers, the system is 4 hours away from me and I'm trying from Remote Desktop? Customer is pissed, if Geovision doesn't help - 3 month old system, I will have to reconfigure and of course lose a customer. Any suggestions would be more than helpful.

    IP Camera Problems

    I know I didn't get a response but I had to physically go to the location, (4 hrs away), remove the USB Dongle and then reinstall the driver and USB. Its working again

    GV-1240

    Multi-Cam is restarting randomly. V 8.31 records okay but if I go to p;layback it restarts. Okay, here is some more data. When the Multi-Cam is recording and you go to Viewlog to playback something recorded several hours or days ago, the system flashes with a white screen. You must do a Hard reboot to restart the computer. If I stop the recording, then go to Viewlog I can playback and save as an Avi (merge), then I have to go back to the bottom of screen-open Multi-Cam with Live Video and click start recording again.The distributor told me that you need to stop Recording to go back to Viewlog but this was working for 3 months like this and now all of a sudden I can't perform this function. Does anyone have an answer on this? GV-1240 6 Analog and 2 Ip cameras being recorded. Any help is appreciated.
