For the last couple of days I have been trying to reset my DS2 admin/installer password as I don't remember it. It is Sprite 2 with 9 channels, however only 2 cameras have been setup. For any additional PTZ I will need admin password.
I have read through the forum and contacted some members, followed the advice given (telnet, hyperterminal (didn't connect), 613126, hooked up the HDD to the PC) but all failed. Only at the end I realised my system board was M2IP which has a flash ram with the Operating system stored in it. HDD contained some logs, CDview and recorded video.
Could anyone advise me on how to remove/reset the passwor for my dvr. I could see the jumpers 1-4, if i short anyone of them would I be able reinstall the sofware and IP?
