    Hi tomcctv. I'm not 100% sure what you mean by "means Clear" It's a class A subnet, which works fine and dandy on the rest of the network. what am I missing mate?

    Hi, I'm new to this forum, and new to CCTV DVR devices. I look after a small company network and they have an Avtech AVC 777W 16 channel DVR device. The device itself works fine, but we are unable to access it remotely using ethernet. Every time I try to enter the correct IP details it thinks for a moment and then beeps displaying Network Function fault. The details I'm entering are: IP: 10.0.10.252 GW: 10.0.10.100 DNS: 10.0.10.254 SM: 255.0.0.0 These are the correct details for this network. After beeping and returning to the main admin screen I can go back into network and it has saved these IP details, but I am unable to ping or connect to the device using the viewer software. I am also unable to access it via a web browser or telnet on port 80 (which is the access port set) Can anyone help???? Many thanks Rob
