CMServices replied to libertysurveillance's topic in System Design
Are the cameras going to be on the builings? Do you have high speed in the buildings where the cameras are going? If so put a Dvr in each building. There is some good muilt location software out there to view all of the dvrs -

Where should we turn to. for major brands like Pelco, and sony? We know ADI very well (not the best prices around) and we also used a dealer on the west coast that promised us the world. but we soon found out that they promised everyone the best prices and could never ship a item on time. So....

You can change the lens but you may also be able to order the camera with the lens you want contact whoever you bought it from to see if that can be done.

With so many cctv brands, how many brand does an avg. reseller and or wholesale have to carry to make a profit? I have seen alot of companies only market one oem brand and do very well and other companys market 10 brand and shut down. I know this question is very open ended. but any feed back would be great

Has anyone heard of videology? or know anything about there products? http://videologyinc.com/
-
most not all
-
Well most of us little guys will pick who we want to market to. BUT we all know that there are some CCTV/Spy Stores that will sale to anyone
-
Videology put all the parts together here in the states (RI) only 10 mins from us. What they tell us is that they make and ship alot of products to larger CCTV companys that inturn put there name on videology product. Im not sure about much of that is true but they should do have a large warehouse

anyone attemped buying over seas?
CMServices replied to robzee67's topic in General Digital Discussion
We are working with a FL company (together) we will become a Us rep for a company over sea's we have already got prices. You have to have a small amount of product in stock for two reason one it takes a week to get and the other is thats just the rule with our vender. We hope starting around March everything will be worked out and we will be redoing our website to our own products -
We will be there

We used Microtek on a goverment job . 1 mile range a few trees in the line of site never got video to work. so we went to satelite

All Tape Recorders will be gone within 6 months
CMServices replied to CCTVKING's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Belive this we had a local bank still using BETA up to last year. The only reason thier not using it anymore is every time they have a problem the cops take the tape and the bank cant find anyone who still sales them LOL! -
Would you buy from a wholesaler (that has a website) that sells to the end user at a really little mark up?
-
Well the problem is that ADI wouldnt give you the best deal but sure well get you the item. We have not found a wholesaler that can ship/ and have everything thing in stock like ADI ....but..... your going to pay for service like that
