All four pictures are working on the App
-
I have just moved a DVR 25ft away from it's old location which used to be beside an RF modulator which distributed the cameras picture to the TVs now there is no picture but there is the four boxes on the screen for each of the four cameras but no picture. Does the RF modulator have to be close by the DVR ?
-
Hi and thanks for the reply. Yes the cameras are showing on the App all four of them. It would hardly be because I used RG59 instead of coaxial to feed the rf modulator do you think as I say it's 25ft or so

Hi people, just wandering did I plug in the wrong power supply for my new IP Encoder as its not working now, it worked for half a day then died, well didn't really die, the computer when loading it up no longer see's it, it switches on and I can even ping it with no packet loss, just fails to be seen as a device, I bought it with a PTZ and thinking now i plugged the higher output 12v power supply into the encoder or would it matter? the difference is one is 12V 2000mA output and the smaller one is 12V1.5A output any help is much app.. thanks

colm. can i just point out this post and your others. YOU are asking for help and advice. your PM to me makes no sence at all. YOUR asking for advice. but you dont like it when we give advice to others Yeah Tom I am a security company who does this type of work, the guy that was looking to know everything about what camera system to put inn to fitting it, if am not mistaken?, now apart from hammering out local security companies like the one that quoted him your going and putting a man's life at risk. ever heard of bringing in the experts? I have done alarms systems, door access, fire systems, electrical and all the rest of it, now doing a bit of CCTV cause I know all about terminating wires/ running wires/ ect. and programming so was able to come on here and get advice from the pro's to get info or even help complete a job but to just tell some shop owner or what ever he is to start buying and fitting his own camera system is beyond me
