Thank you! The RAS software wouldn't install for me either. I am anxious to give it a try. -
Trying to view remotely on LAN & Internet- No Success

I can't seem to get this unit online. It is a DMR-1600. I also have a night owl unit that works great for network and online viewing. I have tried to set this other unit up the same way. The Night Owl is 192.168.1.49 I have set up the DMR-1600 as 192.168.1.45. The night owl uses media port-9000 and web port-1024. I have those port forwarded to the 192.168.1.49 address. The DMR-1600 uses remote admin-8200, Remote callback-8201,Remote watch-8016, Remote search-10019 and DVR Name Server(which I don't have activated)-10088. I have those ports forwarded to 192.168.1.45.My router is a Netgear WNDR3700. My DSL modem is set to "bridge mode". When trying view on the LAN I have unhooked the Night Owl cat5 cable and hooked it to the DMR-1600. I can ping the 192.168.1.45 address and it shows on the list of "attached devices" in the router. The address I use to view the Night Owl on the LAN is 192.168.1.49:1024. I have tried 192.168.1.45:(all the port numbers one at a time-8200,8201,8016,10019,10088) after colon and get nothing with the DMR-1600. I feel there is something very obvious I am missing but just can't get it. Any suggestions? -
I share your frustration Brownleaf, I think there is money to be made by some smart guy out there to offer telephone support for a fee.

Is there anyone out there who I can pay for telephone support to help figure this out? -

DVR - KT DMR-1600I have purchased two of these units used. Everything on the front panels is in English but all the screen instructions appear to Korean or some language I can not read or understand. I can't find anything on the internet about these units or their manufacturer. I have no manuals and can't tell if the screen gives me an option to change languages. Can anyone help? I would be most appreciative.

I am VERY excited and VERY appreciative. Now begins the journey of getting it set up for online viewing, port forwarding and all that stuff I really don't understand. Thanks again!
-
You are the BEST! I already now have english on the menus. How can I repay you?
-
That picture looks exactly like it!

I tried the telnet route, used many different ports, none would open connection. Did the ping and it said packets sent=4 packets received=4 packets lost=0
-
I am not familiar with telnet that you mentioned earlier
-
Looking at the attached devices listed on the router, the dvr appears to be 192.168.1.49. When I type that into the browser, it doesn't connect
-
I haven't been able to get it available online because of my inability to read the menus. There is a network light on the front that doesn't light up when I attach the ethernet cable from the computer network, I am assuming that is because I have configured it?
-
Bought them on eBay from someone who said they got them at an auction and sold them because they couldn't read Korean. Both units seem to work great, just can't set them up for network and online viewing due to the language problem.

a couple more

Hopefully, these are a little better of the unit.

Front & back of unit

Thank you!

Can anyone read this?
-
For some reason it says my images are invalid, I don't see the rules as to size/format limitations
-
I have made some pictures of the screen, I am now trying figure out to attach the photos here
-
I will see if I can figure out how to that.
