    GV View Log LAN problems

Hi scottj! Thanks for your reply! But unfortunately, I didn't understand the meaning of "mapping". What exactly do you mean with mapping? I didn't understand what I should do. Thanks! Joe

    GV View Log LAN problems

Hello, I connected our GV-PC with another PC (without GV-Card) via LAN. Wanted to use View Log LAN. I gave access to all folders at the GV-PC, but when I open View Log LAN on the other PC I get only question marks. But there is no problem to access the videos via LAN by opening them withe the WMP. Only with View Log LAN I get question marks. I asked Geovison alreday twice. The only answer was to give access to all folders for the LAN PCs but that's what I did but no results. Does anybody know anything about the solution of that problem? Thanks and greetings Joe
  6. Hi, have still the problem of interlace at the edge of moving objects by using combo cards. The ATI driver didn't make a difference. To be honest: don't you have at all this kind of problem??? Cheers Joe
  7. hi rory, hi scottj, I'll try this tomorrow (european time). I'll tell you than if it worked. So far - thanks a lot Joe
  8. hi rory, i tried also 640*480 de-interlaced but couldn't see a difference. of course i use deinterlaced settings. our graphik card is a x800 gto ATI PCI Express, so I think this should more than meet the requirements. what do you mean with the installation of .net??? you said that the new software 7.1 will solve the problems. I got an e-mail of Geovision. I think, that's what they said, but I'm not sure, so I post it here:" Dear Sir, Thank you for your e-mail reply to us again. Please know that the DSP is designed to provide a display layer on top of the main capture card's original video image with its hardware compressed live image. As mentioned before, because it uses hardware compression under 640x480 mode, it is known to have interlace on the edge of moving object. Still, our client will use DSP card not only for its TVoutput, but also for its real time display frame rate. Now, the combo card series have integrated the main capture card, the DSP card, and the audio card all in one card. If you do not wish to have the DSP overlay, you can simply disable it and shows up what is normally shown when using GV800, 900, or 1000. For PCI-Express card, we have tested ATI X300, X600, and X700 cards without problems. Please know we do not recommend the use of Nvidia chipset VGA card with our combo card series at this time. The support for Nvidia chipset VGA card will be available with the release of version 7.1 in January. We believe the main difference between the GV900 or 1000 and the combo card is that the GV900 or 1000 has the ability to turn on directdraw overlay for which will be able to smooth the picture. However, since combo card has DSP card, this function cannot be enabled even after the DSP overlay disabled. Therefore, there is a workaround to disable the DSP once our version 7.1 is released. With 7.1, we will have spot monitor support for which will disable the main system's use of DSP and then you will be able to turn on the directdraw overlay for smooth picture image. " What do you think about this??? Joe
  9. Hello, we have installed the newest software version 7.05. Our PC is a P4, 3.0 GHz with 1.024 MB, brand new from DELL. I don't know the chip, but it's an intel board. Because the PC is brand new (Dell Dimension 9100), I think we have the required system requirements. BUT, don't you think, that the system requirements published by geovision are a little bit low for the 1480-16 card (2,8 GHZ P4)??? thanks for an answer Joe
  10. Hello, I have installed the 1480-16 of Geovision. The problem is: moving objects have interlace on the edge. I didnt' have this problem with the GV-1000 card. the system I use: P4, 3.0 Ghz Intel 1.024 MB Ram ATI x300 Graphic Card Does anybody else have this problem and how can I fix it????? thanks in advance
