Hello I have been using a Samsung SHR-2040 without any problems for about a year now and recently I tried to shut it down through the menu and none of the front buttons would operate. I removed the top cover and in the absence of any other info I removed the button cell battery and then replace it only to get the message “Clock battery has failed”. I fitted a brand new battery and after a short while I got a request for the password which I entered without any problems and everything seemed to be working okay. As I don’t need to run this unit during the day I came to shut it down again and again the buttons did not respond, the unit seems to lock itself up.
I would appreciate any help and suggestions that anyone might have.
