IC Realtime IP camera installation - Advice needed please
vector18 replied to mike747's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
What are the specs of the PC? Are on wifi or hard wires into your network. Normally, no, live video is not choppy when viewed over your own network. If your remote logged in and not on the same network as the NVR, that is a different story. This has nothing to do with IC realtime nor fps. -
If you posted something that prompted a valid response, than that is what you would have been given. But asking the forum for software that will control a ptz that even the manufacturer can't come up with and your are selling it AND this is your first time posting here, than, it looks like you deserve nothing but busting your chops response.

You've got to be kidding. The manufacturer can't even figure out a software to work with their camera and your asking this forum? WOW!

IC Realtime IP camera installation - Advice needed please

If you have only one camera up in the software, is it choppy? -
I know two people so far that has installed hd sdi and they both had some sort of issues. Cameras dropping out or colors all screwy. I'm going to wait to hd sdi gets alittle more perfected before trying it out. It sounds like bandwidth for you though. You said you lowered resolution and fps, but did you lower bandwidth?
-
Why don't you ask the manufacturer of the USB PTZ camera that you added to your line of products? And why are you selling it if you can't support it? And where is this attached file?
-
Now how in the world do you know what I know and don't know?

Mike, where do you live? Maybe one of the techs here can give you a hand for a reasonable price. Installing an IP system with zero knowledge can be very frustrating. -
IR Light Strip for IP Nightvision?
vector18 replied to jdoggg1's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I've seen those strips before. Despite what the title says, it is not Infrared. It is actually LED and you will be able to see the light with your eyes. These are not meant to project light or light up an outdoor area. They are meant to decorate things or light up small areas like kitchen counter tops, closets, automotive parts, etc. I personally would not suggest this if your trying to help out an IP camera for outdoor night vision. -
Running cabling ontop of metal beam
vector18 replied to smcctv's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Do the metal beams have high voltage flowing thru it? -
I'm sorry, but I can't stop laughing!! Someone out there STILL uses the yellow RCA!! LMFAO!! Do you still use CRT monitors? Omg! Lol!
-
Your customers must hate you if your dvr is capable of hdmi out, which almost every cheap analog dvr is, or even vga, and your connecting your dvr with one of the lowest means of video resolution! I used the yellow RCA in the 1980's! LMFAO!

You have to be joking
-
I'm not even sure how to answer that one?
-
It's not 100% necessary, but to make an analog camera to work with an NVR will end up costing you just as much as buying the high resolution IP camera so why not just buy the IP camera to begin with?
-
If you have a compatible DVR to your NVR, than when you set a remote channel in your NVR, enter the DVR's IP address and which channel you want. Or, you can use encoders.
-
Sometimes it takes an outside eye. Glad you fixed it and didn't cost anything to fix.

Burglary - One Day after 8 Camera System Installed
vector18 replied to QC444's topic in General Digital Discussion
It's been several days since his post. It could be possible that in fact HE was the burglar that actually caught himself on video, and now he's in jail so he can't reply to us. And if you think about it, that's why he didn't post the video because of such shame he has brought to himself and his family! -
Take the wire out of the dvr and plug it into your laptop. Check if your laptop can go on the internet. If it does, now you know there is nothing wrong with the router or the wire. Than plug the wire back into the dvr and assign it an IP that you know is not being used. Restart the DVR once you do that. Than from a PC on the network, try to ping that IP. If you get a reply from the DVR, than the DVR is on the network and you are missing something else. Go into the network settings of the DVR and make sure the subnet and gateway are what they are supposed to be. Also check the ports and if you enter the IP of the DVR in IE from a PC on the network, make sure you enter the port after the IP address. Let us know what happened after you try all of this. Or, it is possible the network card just went bad?

Is this brand and system reliable and good for boss?
vector18 replied to shaido7's topic in General Digital Discussion
Seems like a very good deal for a 16 channel 960H dvr, 2tb hdd, and 16 cameras! Go with it and post your review cause I'm sure no one on here has that kit yet.
