Yup, that's the same mssg I get from my dvr that does not have a hard drive. I can see my cameras, but cannot record anything. It does not make any sense that you can playback though?????
-
I have a Dahua dvr on my bench without a hard drive in it yet and it gives me the EXACT mssg you are explaining every is single time I log into it. Please check your hard drive. See if you can play back recorded video if you think nothing is wrong with it
-
Sorry, but no disk means no hard drive. If there is a port issue than you won't even see the NVR at all.
-
OK, now I'm getting alittle bit more info and now I understand your issue. Are you checking lan or wan when you log in? Are you clicking the 4 boxes on the bottom once your logged in for 4 camera view? That doesn't make sense that an inside network pc doesn't display no disk and an outside network pc does. The NVR shouldn't even know where the PC is logging in from? Try reseating the hard drive and fully rebooting the nvr.
-
I'm confused, are you logging into three different nvr's or are you using 3 different computers to log into one nvr because in your post you said when you log into 'my' nvr which to me sounds like your logging into one nvr?
-
Wild guess, but either you do not have a hard drive or something is wrong with it?

Approximately 46 IP Cameras - Super NVR or Server?
vector18 replied to SickNick's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
At what resolution do you plan on recording those 46 IP cameras? That Dahua NVR can record only 64 at 720p or 32 at 1080p. If your a huge Dahua fan and your very comfortable with it, you might even want to get several 4 channel NVR's, record all channels at 1080p and network a crazy server with tons of storage and run PSS on it. If it's in the budget and your familiar with other higher end IP systems, than go better than Dahua. That's my .02. -
A non hybrid can only have analog cameras connected to it, a hybrid can have both analog and IP cameras. If you currently have analog and plan on upgrading to IP, go with the hybrid. If you only plan on using analog cameras, go with a DVR. If you plan on only installing IP cameras, than go with an NVR. Good luck.

Dahua 3216 vertical NVR with 1tb drive 16 channel
vector18 replied to vector18's topic in Classifieds
Yes, the cameras need POE if not running a seperate power cable. This NVR has four POE ports so you would either need to run additional power lines or purchase an additional POE switch and plug the network port of the NVR into the switch. Feel free to PM or email me if you have any questions regarding this NVR. Keep in mind it already has a 1tb seagate harddrive. -

Can Any Analog Camera Compete With An IP Camera?
vector18 replied to PM5K's topic in Security Cameras
Yes I typed it. What does that have to do with anything?? -
Anything over 7fps is acceptable. When it says 100, that is your total amount with every channel added all together. Just about every dvr will allow you to make specific channels higher or less as long as your total amount does not exceed the dvr's limit. As far as d1 vs cif, D1 is your best bet. You will get a better resolution which will give you more detail. Not as much as a megapixel IP camera, but d1 is higher resolution than cif. Some people on this forum will tell you a megapixel camera set for lower compression will be equal to a D1 camera in full resolution though.

Can Any Analog Camera Compete With An IP Camera?
vector18 replied to PM5K's topic in Security Cameras
and yet you still do not say your comment did not make any sense stating that a megapixel camera at not full compression will look the same as an analog in full compression. Again, why would someone even say that if we are comparing two types of cameras? Wouldn't it make sense to compare them both at equal compressions? That's how someone on my planet would make an equal comparison. " title="Applause" /> -

Paranoid? You have to be kidding me! This post wouldn't have been ruined if you were just smart enough to talk like a human being instead of the ego boosting idiot that you are. You kept the OP's info that he sent you via PM to yourself so you can look like the superhero. Your the type that loves himself and tries to throw others under the bus as much as you can. Even your forum name shows how much you think of yourself. Almost like you think your the king of cctv, lmfao! Yes, you know your stuff and are knowledgeable, but you have a child mentality and you thrive off of people needing your help. You must get a hard on when you see someone else trying to help and they say something wrong. I don't explode when someone else is trying to help someone and they say something I disagree on. I try to help others when and if I can and I enjoy helping others. I don't keep PM info to myself in order to make someone I don't like look like an idiot. You really should grow up already. -
how can i view my cctv on my iphone 5 ?
vector18 replied to kalshienmar's topic in General Digital Discussion
Your a real piece of work!!!!!!! None of this would have happened if you simply had said, he sent me a PM and he has Dahua and upgraded his phone. I love how you misinterpret every single thing I say! When i said that he never mentioned which DVR he has or if he even upgraded his phone, would it have been too difficult to just have said that you know what he has because he PMéd you?' YES, that does have something to do with being intelligent! Someone smart would have been cooperative and mentioned at least something rather than just saying 'he has dahua and upgraded his phone' I seriously do not know what your problem is but it's really pissing me off! Your like a freaking child! And than you reply with a pissed off post! Give me a break!!! -
Can Any Analog Camera Compete With An IP Camera?
vector18 replied to PM5K's topic in Security Cameras
Ummm, why would you even say that??? I'll go back to my previous comparison. You just said basically, a Lamborghini with 2 flat tires will not drive as fast as a ford taurus. Why would you even say something like that? A mp camera in not full compression is not as good as an analog in full compression???? WTF???? I feel like I'm on another planet or something!! -
how can i view my cctv on my iphone 5 ?
vector18 replied to kalshienmar's topic in General Digital Discussion
I have to go back to school, cause I don't read anywhere in there that says he upgraded his phone and has a Dahua. And, if he has mentioned that in another post, I would have thought you would have been intelligent enough to have mentioned that rather than simply saying "he has dahua, he upgraded his iphone" This forum is getting more and more amazing! -
how can i view my cctv on my iphone 5 ?
vector18 replied to kalshienmar's topic in General Digital Discussion
He never said he upgraded from iphone 4 and he didn't mention the brand of the dvr. To the OP, please tell us which DVR you have FIRST and we will tell you which app to download onto your iphone 5 and help you with your router. -
Which hd-sdi adaptors/cameras work with this dvr? Which iphone app works with it? Is there customer/technical support for it?
