    2mp IP ptz over wifi

Not sure if I updated here, but I have installed a AP in my window facing the garage and I'm getting -64db's now. The image and ptz control work flawless. I have to keep the sub stream at cif otherwise my iphone lags way too much for ptz control though. Otherwise, I am extremely happy with this camera and it's functionality.
  4. Did you try lowering the bit rate per channel?

I sent you a PM vitamin.
  6. What is your budget? What is your level of knowledge when it comes to networking? If your network illiterate, than I would suggest to stay away from an IP system. An analog system will be less expensive and generally easier to install. If power cables is your concern, you can use cat5 with video baluns and power even for analog. The other choice is IP with a POE switch that powers your cameras and receives the data. So, without alittle more info from you, I personally wouldn't recommend a system.

    Dahua DVR mobile support

The port you enter will not be the same port that you use for a PC. You need to see what the TCP port is and than port forward it to the IP of the DVR. Than enter the TCP port in the app.

I've used several of these with no issues. They were cheap and easy. Just have to run 2 cat5's though. http://www.ebay.com/itm/140510769532?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  9. Yes, I realize the sub stream is for mobile devices. Same for Dahua. I have a few 2mp cams out there and I set sub stream for CIF and they still look pretty good on the iphone with nice streaming. I have nothing bad to say for the HIKvision products or the company, but for me personally, I'm getting very sweet deals on dahua products and my customers are happy. I do notice the soft spots that their cameras have, but for your average person who has only seen analog cctv cameras, they are amazed when I show them samples of the Dahua jobs I've done. Also, as I see it, Dahua seems to be a growing company especially now with all this rebranding of their products, so I'm sure things will improve as time goes by. Anyway, post up a video, lets see how that bad boy looks!
  10. I guess this is the camera your using? http://www.hikvision.com/en/Products_show.asp?id=7326
  11. Very interesting, please post a night time shot, thanks. The only thing is, I've been trying to stay at 1.3mp for my cameras only because you don't see a huge difference, price is lower, and for the most part, the majority of my customers are using their cameras for remote viewing to check up on their houses while out and play back when something bad happens. Does hikvision make a 1.3mp bullet? I guess I'll check out their website, lol. I'm not saying I'm going to switch, but it's worth to take a look.
  12. That looks real good. And the neighborhood looks likes a nice place to live as well. How many MP's is that little bullet? I've been seeing alot of good talk about hikvision lately. Who knows, maybe I will make a switch, especially with images like those. How do the prices compare to Dahua and keep in mind, as of now, I'm paying less than you think for my Dahua products.
  13. Thats a good thing, I'm doing a job tomorrow, a small house and they're getting 10,000 cameras!
  14. This is what you get as soon as you open the app. It's very annoying that I cannot choose just one camera to open, but I use the app to show customers there is an option if they want to pinch and squeeze for their own cameras.
  15. That's what I'm waiting dahua to add to the app. I get so many customers asking me to digitally zoom in by using the iphone. Every other app for every other camera system does that. In IP cam viewer, I can view my fixed cameras and digitally zoom in, but like I said, I do not like the layout. When you open that app, every single camera you have entered, starts to load up. It's only good if you have like 4 cameras.
  16. You can pinch and squeeze on fixed cameras? On the iphone, pinch and squeeze works well for ptz's, but does nothing for fixed cameras.
  17. Are you able to pinch and squeeze to digitally zoom in? I've been waiting for Dahua to allow that in the iphone forever. I found IP Cam Viewer is compatible with Dahua and allows pinch and squeeze, but I just don't like the lay out of that app.
  18. I'm not even going to try, LOL
  19. That is funny! lmao
  20. Yes.....the......CCTV.......expert.......@........hotmail address! Oh, and he IS an expert, did you know that?
  21. Cause he is.......the.......CCTV.......EXPERT!!!!!
  22. Shouldn't you know all the answers already. I mean, your email is cctvexpert!
  23. You cannot name different port forward rules the same name. You can name it 'chicken' if you want. The name is only so you know what it is. It does not affect anything.
  24. Do as I said, than set four different port forward rules. Do not use the same port twice for anything. When you use canyouseeme.org, and it says it does not see your port, that could also mean that your port forward rule is not set correct, it could mean your nvr is turned off, it does not mean all the time that the port is blocked. When you use canyouseeme, that site just tries to connect to your device with that specific port programmed, If it does not see it, than it says that the port is blocked, thats all. Just try as I said, than forward each port to the correct IP address of each device. You should have FOUR different port forward rules when your done.
  25. If you want better fluency on your iphone, set the extra stream to CIF. Your iphone is tiny and resolution will look slightly less, but streaming will be more fluent. Main stream is for computers, extra stream is for mobile devices.
