  1. Anyone know how to unlock a ADMNLCD20 monitor without remote? or a place to get replacement remote for it?
  2. I'm tossing out my VCR(not quite yet, but stowing it away for later) and upgrading to a DVR standalone. I currently have a GVI CMP163R, which was attached to my old VCR. I was able to set it up, but I'm not able to get the multiplexer to play back or go into playback . I have 2 outputs on the DVR, with 8 video in channels, 1 of which the multiplexer is running into. I know how I'm supposed to set up, but i keep getting like a fuzzy almost no picture when I set it up in a the same way I had the VCR set up. I can also set up in a way that i can record and watch the playback, but i'm not able to pull up a single shot, just the multiplexer itself, showing all 16 shots together. Any advice on a way to fix what I have currently would be greatly appreciated. I'm also open to the possibility of running this into a computer if that will simplify things.
  3. Can IP cameras be installed onto analog type systems? Is there some type of a adapter or will the adapter that converts coaxial to cat5 work in reverse for IP cameras as well? ? I'm still very new with PTZ cameras which are unfamiliar to me, I don't wanna mess up my equipment. Thanks
  4. Thanks, that helps. I forgot to say it's a closed system, no networks, my bad
  5. Yeah, I figured it was too much of a mess. Can someone at least tell me what is needed for setting up a CAT5 connection type PTZ camera for running it into a standalone DVR with a BNC connection? I'm kinda lost when its comes to just the simple steps of setting this thing up. Not so much specifics, but what equipment is generally used for this set up.
  6. Ok, So my boss gave me the OK to buy stuff out of pocket and then get reimbursed(Not a crazy budget though) I found a Clinton Electronics with a CAT5 connection and a Ultrak KDZ 8 camera also with a CAT5 connection in the storage area of my store, and I bought 2 PELCO DD5TACs recently. I currently have a GVI multiplexer with a RS-485 built in, I also have a Standalone DVR system in route with a RS-485 connection. I've never set up a PTZ camera before, so i'm kinda of lost as far as knowing what else I need. Obviously a controller for one, but does anyone know off of the top of they're head is there anyway i can possibly set all these up on the same system, and if so, what is the best route to take from this point? Currently everything i have set up is running on coaxial. Thanks for your time, MAC
