    PTZ RS485 1 or 2 pair?

Thanks tomcctv, I will keep that in mind.
  2. Hello flaah1, What version of windows 7 did you install? 32bit or 64bit?
  3. Hello everyone, It might be a simple question... I always use 1 twisted pair CAT5 for data RS485 (green), but I just wonder if I use 2 twisted pair for each polarity (Ex. orange pair for TX+, green pair for TX-), will it go further than a single twisted pair? Also, what cable do you think is the best for RS485? Most of people use CAT5, some use alarm wire or phone wire... but which cable goes further and it's more stable for transmitting data? Thank you for your answer in advance,
  4. Make sure to turn off the power, then add a new HDD. It can support up to 1TB After installing a new HDD power back on, it will ask you to format HDD... press OK, wait, and you are done. My recommendation... make sure to buy Seagate, I had many problems using WD on HT.
