I got it! I now have live audio from the security cctv camera's pinhole mic. Works great live and during recording. I'm surprised at the sound quality, even the slightest tick is picked up 25' away.

I've had a DVR system for years but using Baluns on cat5 wire at 500'. I never thought about picking up sound thru the builtin mic on the cameras, until today. I wired the sound link to the PC pci sound board and the sound is very clear from the pinhole mic's. My question is, I only get sound during the recordings at playback. Is there a way, or has anyone else been able to pick up sound from the camera's mic at realtime or during live video?

I have a Panasonic cctv camera that's power thru the coax from another cctv system. Can this camera be converted some how to be powered at the camera? I opened it up and can redo the wiring if someone else has done this before.
