As you stated you have Smart recording active this will run the recording rate of the card. Disable Smart recording!

Are the cameras that you are having problems located in each of the four quads as Geovision use a chip for each 4 cameras. Also have seen this problem if you upgrade software and not the card as older cards cannot be upgraded above Ver 6.05 without USB Dongle. Also using an older camera Dongle on a newer card can cause this problem.
