Connecting a Hikvision camera to an IntelliSecu
JacobBushnell posted a topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hello, I am trying to connect a Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I to a IntelliSecu 8Ch NVR http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00KO89A86/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The camera is detected and the video loads but the formatting does not look correct. It's all distorted and the colors are all wrong. Kinda like when you connect a CCTV PAL camera to a NTSC system. I have attached an image of the screen with the problem. The camera is currently recording to a Dahua hybrid system, but the customer also wants a spot monitor with a few of the IP cameras showing at the front counter. Dahua Hybrids apparently do not support sending any of the IP cameras out as a spot monitor. My hope was to use this to tie into the cameras and display a live view without bothering the recorder. When I login to the cameras interface it looks fine there. Anyone have any ideas what the problem is here? -
Hikvision default password

Did you try the TFTP Automatic Update Tool that we used for the cameras? It might also work with the DVR since the remote access interface is identical I am guessing they use the same code system to control the security access. Jacob -

I found the solution. This system will only work if connect to the camera's Sub Stream and I have to change the sub steam video format to MPEG in the camera settings. Thanks for you ideas! Jacob -
Connecting a Hikvision camera to an IntelliSecu

Actually I am connecting as Onvif as the NVR detected. The camera is Onvif, and I need the camera settings unchanged so it does not affect the original recorder. I just need a spot monitor with no recording. Thank you, Jacob -
Hikvision default password

Thank you, that worked! I had some trouble finding the proper tool since the download link on the Hikvision site did not work for me. I finally found on here on a Russian site toward the end of the page: http://bas-tion.ru/poleznye-stati/21-ds-2sd2612f-i-s-review Search the page for: "TFTP Automatic Update Tool" once updated, the camera responded perfectly. Hikvision default password

How long does it normally take get a reset password? I have two dome Hikvision DS-2CD2132-I that got locked up after a power outage. They BOTH no longer allow me to login, but they both show up using the SADP software. Default passwords do not work. I tried emailing the password reset request to Hikvision a week ago but not response so far. -
I've installed 4 of these and have had to send one back once for warranty work. The older models had an absolutely horrible interface but the newer ones now are much easier to work with. I also had them lock up on me a few times and have had hard drives go out on me twice. The remote view only works with Internet Explorer so that kinda sucks. I have never been able to get mobile view working. Low end Hardware based. You can't beat the price but they are bottom of the line in my opinion. Jacob

Hello, I am upgrading an older Sentinel Security system (model: SC2FD3044-161 ) and it has a combination power/ video plug that looks a lot like an old PS2 connection for mouse and keyboards on an older PC. What is this connection called? Can I get an adapter for it to: 1. connection to a regural BNC connection and, 2. Send power back to the cameras.??? The Sentinel system has 5 cameras connected to it now, we want to replace it with a new DVR and about 10 more cameras but I would like to save a little $ and reuse the existing cameras since they are already installed and working great. Any ideas out there? Thank you, Jacob

Problems viewing when particular camera is plugged in.
JacobBushnell replied to mortonwy's topic in Introductions
Did you get this fixed? I had the same problem with the power supply have a short on one of the camera connections. When that camera was plugged in the entire power supply shut down knocking all the other cameras offline. Once that short was fixed everything worked fine. You would also get the same result if the ground & hot are flipped. Hope that helps, Jacob
