  1. What's a a wall-wart? Just another word for ac adapter? Should I paint it all black? because the backsplash of the wall is white you'd think it stick out more.
  2. Thanks for the link! I know the cnb's don't come with the power supply. What do you think is a good power box for 2 cameras, I won't be running the wires that far probably 25' at most?
  3. Oh I see, I didnt think it would be that big of a zoom. I think for my purposes it should be sufficient and ill just buy a third camera for the car and focus it all the way to 10 mm. Thanks for the visual.
  4. wow thanks for the quick reply! yeah all those houses in Vancouver look the same, its the poor mans McMansion. in regard to lighting there is some street lighting so that should be a boost. my main concern is the car because after paying a 300 deductable to get my windshield fixed, 300 dollars for a camera just for the car isnt so bad. any ideas what I should go with? another cnb? and how about placement?
  5. Hi guys, im looking to start off with basic 2 camera system for the front of my house. I have been having problems with car vandals. Ive done some reading and determined to start with a 2 CNB VCM-24VF domes, and a AVerDVR Hybrid NV3000 dvr card. at the moment my plans look like this . (the car is the big grey diamond shape and the red circles are the cameras) Do you think this system would be suited to see whats going during the day and night. the distance of the cameras is about 50-75' from my car. And if something were to happen would the quality be good enough to hand over to the police? also I live in the lower mainland B.C. Canada where it rains alot so would the domes be well off on there own? and does any one know any dealers that sell them in the lower mainland.
