i connect the vga out to the monitor and i also installed the hard disk. but it only display factory logo and then nothing happens. i read the manual book, the dvr should go to main menu when running normal. is it possible i've been fraud by the seller?

i have new dvr, i connect the vga out to computer monitor. when i turn on the dvr, it only display the factory logo, then nothing happens. is my dvr has been damaged? or there's anything else? thanks.
