Hello,
I am new to cctv installation and setup, I have been reading abit online and looking at some systems that come complete with 4 cameras and dvr box.
It looks like they all run the cameras of a coax cable with bnc plugs, my question is "is the power for the camera also sent down the coax or is it a seperate transformer/plug?"
I am assuming that the camera might get its power down the coax just like some device get there power from POE using cat5.
As this is my first installation of this type any tips/tricks would be gratefully accepted, also I have been looking at the systems available on a well know website(sounds like a forest) and have seen a with 4 carmeras and dvr and monitor etc.,
