I have a gv800 16ch I have already unchecked cams 16-11 so I'm only using 10 cams . OK so first question is how can I hide the other 11-16 cams when I use the ViewLog program and I choose multiview it shows all 1-16 cams while 11-16 are blank they still appear is there a way to stop them from appearing. And when Geo is loading it states 16ch is being reduced to 10ch's is there also a way to get rid of that as well.

what r u trying to be sarcastic rory! I can't afford that upgrade yet, heck I'm still working on trying to find a work around to upgrade to 7.0.5

I would use a good quality LCD and just use the DVI port on the Video card as the computer is already giving out a digital signal which is degraded when converting back to analog.
-
Yes I have restarted the computer and the effects are initializing as far as the GV software (Full screen mode working & not working) except for a pink screen on one of the LCDs everything else works fine and on the windows side everything else works fine . I even played a video on media player and ran a picture slide show. So the problem appears to be limited to Geo. I will try 7.5 software and see if there is any difference. any ideas ?

I'm using the ATI 9550 dual monitor card with 1 VGA out & 1 DVI out, and have one pinkout image on the DVI monitor . The software ver is 6.1.1.0 and the card is a ver. 3 GV-800 ... Please advise on a get around with out upgrading the software. Thanx

Also worth mentioning after re-adding the check back to the Directdraw Overlay in the GV software to get the Full screen function working again I went back to the ATI Display properties from the Advanced then ATI Display tab made sure both LCDs were shown then clicked on a Overlay tab found an option says Clone mode options clicked on that tab then had another option for Overlay Mode Settings Standard Theater Mode & Same on all I checked the Same on all radio button restated GV software and no more pink spot but Full screen function was disabled again. sorry for all the detail. plz hlp.

I believe that I'm in clone mode as when I go into Display Properties then Settings then I click on Identify tab both lcds show the number 1 on screen. And also I did remove the check from the Enable Directdraw Overlay then I restarted the GV software and the pink spot was gone the only problem was that I could no longer use the Full Screen option which is needed.

Anyone know if I can stack any Geo cards yet to put out 20 cams from one machine. ..... There’s a lot of confusion about which Geo cards are stackable. Thanks.

But what about the FPS. GV800 = 120FPS GV900 = 240FPS GV800 might be as good as you say for Remote view, but Vs. gv900 for live viewing, I don't see how that could add up?

I need recommendation for good 32 channel DVR card for a custom system some thing similar to GeoVision in as far as functionality would be nice. Or should I use 2 16ch GV1240 cards with GeoVision Control Center that allows remote monitoring many DVR sites. One of the main requirements of this system will be Remote monitoring If anyone has done this before I would really appreciate your feed back or any suggestions. Thank you.

I was going to use 2 GV900 16ch ver 7.05 .

Thank you CameraGenius. I will go down the 2 DVR 16ch route.

Customer has one 50"LCDTV, three 22"LCD’s, and one 17"LCD for DVR system, one GV-800 DVR , only 7 cams will be used. 50"LCDTV and the three 22"lcds are about 70 ft away from DVR location. Customer wants to be able to view all 7cams on the big screen when ever he feels like it, so for that I figured GV-DSP8, but also wants to view the all 7 cams on one of the 22 inch LCD’s 24/7 and wants to use the other two 22 inch LCD’s as spot monitors where he can see any one or more of the 7 cams at any given time.

actually I was thinking of using a VGA Y spliter from the DVR to the 17"LCD that will be next to the DVR and the other end to one of the 22"LCDs, then I would use two pc's to each of the other 2 22"LCDs and network them with one of Geos network options, that way less wires. Now I just need to research the options and choose the best opt. Any suggestions let me know plz.

It is a Intel chipset. Yes dvr is connected to a Belkin UPS model: F6H350-usb-DL 350-VA. Hope that helps.

Problem started when customer shutdown DVR while Geo & GV-DSP 16 were both running, then when DVR was turned back on, Twin Server error came on indicating that no network card was installed which is odd because no networking Service was ever activated in GEO then the Geo software came on like normal except it would not recognize the DSP card or the DSP functions as it normally did and no DSP toolz were loaded in the config tool icon in GV800 soft. So I did a system restore still nothing, GV800 workd fine DSP didn't then I uninstalled all the drivers for both cards and the Geo software and reinstalled and still nothing, then finally I got the DSP software to work with the Geo software but only if I did not delete the GVDSPG1.dll file from the GV800 folder like I was supposed to , the only problem with that is as you know when I use the separate GV-DSP16 software to limit cameras on the external video screen the main GV800 software is also affected by any changes.... I know I have a file error or corrupt file or something any help or suggestions? please..... Thanks.

I'm experiencing blurred images that look like the blur is moving and objects are distorted this system is in a gas station. System spec's are: Dell GX240 SFF p4 1.7 (Intel chipset) desktop with 2 pci slots Nvidia Geforce MX 400 64mb probably uses Direct X. 7 256 sdram 320GB western digital, but some times the picture quality is good? I just don't get it. can it be that because this desktop is a Small Form Factor that the system is getting too hot and the GV card is acting up. Also I started remote view and I networked another GX240 system same specks except this one has a ATI ultra 16mb agp. <-- as a client for the casher but the image on this system was even worse then the main DVR system. I used a Cross over cable to network the two I tried a D-link router but there was absolutely no difference in picture quality.

Anyway please help if anyone has ever come across this before.

On the main DVR system the picture quality used to be very good very clear but now it varys slightly sometimes whic is strange but I'm using a Small form factor case which I will replace with a 4u server case. The 2 computers are only about 50 feet away from each other. I was just wondering what effects occour when the GEO cards get too hot?
-
You think the Geo card might be at fault here?
