Hi i have had a look and can not find where to make sure the port is open, the operating system is win 2000, any ideas where this would be?thanks again!

Hi, i have a GV600 up and working and is on the network but i can not view the play back over the network throught the web cam facility! I have set up passwords on the dvr to let it view it but when it trys to connect it just doesen't. This is strange as i can view it live no problems! Any ideas? Thanks

i would go for a few cams than 1 ptz -
i see what u mean for the quality of what u get, i used buy off them just the cards for 400 per 8 channel card but now i can get a complete machine for that

the standalones are good, but are not really user freindly, there pc based systems are ok and have alot more features but there software has bugs!

yey have seen dvrs with internal ups in before,the resolution on that doesen't look that great!

yey hikvision are way to expensive!

The chinese had the software for them then the cards were sold to the open market! good machine use them all the time, i have had several software packages that run on them cards!

i dont have a problem with using a ptz to cover several pumps as long as it is controlled by something,just having a ptz doing a scan of the forcourt is useless!! as rory has said the best way is to put seperate cameras down each isle or if you use a ptz then it could be have certain presets configured for each pump so when the client picks the leaver up to fill their car up it would then zoom in and get a number plate shot,and then return back to a home position to maybe do a general scan of the forcourt!!

yes i agree rory i have used them before and they have crashed on me to!! so why waste money! -
i would say to use bosch dinion cameras or very good mono cameras

there are plenty of software packages about for the h.264 cards but alot of them have bugs i use some reliable software with them cards now which is very good!
