I need to reset the DVR to the factory defult configuratiion. Anyone knows the right hardware procedure to recovery the original firmware ? Thanks

I send you the last version of firmware and the instruction for the manual reset, probably Tomcctv is right, if you tried to upgrade the wrong version or you did some mistake in the upgrade it's possible you need to send the dvr to AVTECH for repairing. Can you tell me what do you see when you turn on the dvr? Any beep, and strange colors on the screen? Sorry but If someone enter on that side there is no firmware for AVC 796B -1002. !!!

Ok thanks, but which model I have bought ? The vendor wrote on his web site AVC796A but connecting to the DVR I received two differents informations : Product-ID-Minor=796A OEM-Name=AVC796B ...... so also others user must known wich is the right version and conseguently apply the right firmware update.

I have recently buy a AVC796A dvr in Germany. I tried to update the firmware (AVC796A_1020) via web,vieoviewer and usb as well. I received everytime an UPDATE ERROR. ( wia web the error is : ERROR: Firmware's product name or checksum is error.) everytime this operation corrupt the settings and I must reset the DVR.
