My friend has bought one of these and asked me to help him set it up. He was told it could be used as a stand alone unit, ie not connected to the alarm system. What he wants to do is have motion activate the recording while he is away on holiday for 3 months. He would like to record for about 2-3 minutes. I can't see how to get motion to activate recording so my question is can this be done and would you advise me how to do it? Thanks for any help
