  1. Wow, I haven't been here for ages Customer reported that his ACTi Corp bullet cam (D32) have moisture condensing problem... Well I think it was just poor mounting problem, I've never had any issues with those cams, but at least I had an excuse to test out some ideas ... I know it's not a "demo" but still about IP cams wmTvMU_U-wo

    ACTi KCM-5511 Login Issue

ActiveX ofcourse it works only on IE. New D and E series works on Chrome and Firefox (you still need Windows), you can't set some minor things but still usefull.

    ONVIF and motion

It depends on the NVR, for example: Exacq, Qnap, Koukaam IPCorder - those use on-camera motion events. So when I use GeoVision Onvif cams - I can't use motion detection. But GeoVision, Milestone, or NUUO - those use software motion detection so it doesn't matter how you connect your cameras, it could be ONVIF, PSIA or even RTSP. Also in theory, if camera is ONVIF 2.2 Profile S and NVR supports that - motion detection should work.
  4. Yup, it is choppy, I have no idea why. I tried everything.
  5. If both PoE injector and camera is 802.3af - it will work fine.
  6. Yup, exactly. You can put all setting in one URL, like WDR, Exposure, shutter, brightness, fps and so on. CGI commands are great, you can do almost everything with them
  7. Yeah, I also used auto exposure and shutter 1/13 or 1/25 on my previous videos. More noise, but no motion blur and more details. But now I tried to play a little bit more with settings, so I used manual exposure to get best looking video. Then I set contrast and brightness. I know that this makes day video look like poo, thats why I used CGI commands and camera events to make 3 different configs that are automatically changed at night/day. What you think about that idea? And about videos, I'm just playing with Adobe After Effects trying to learn something new
  8. You are right, I checked my new cams, and they are ok. Strange thing And here are some night shots. I've made that one for one of our clients, he always complains that he is not happy with image quality but he never tries to change settings on them. uy55rNDqGqM
  9. Sorry, I can't put down those street lights But this friday I'm helping with major system, there will be some D32 and D82 cams there, so I will make videos.
  10. ACTi Cube E series audio sample: 4tGRHTynbQc
  11. Ok, I've made those videos that I promised. Here is day video, wide-angle, and little bit zoomed in to narrow the scene. 1_hDtrkDg0E I think that my SD card is too slow for this cam I'm exporting night shots right now - I've made some examples, like how it looks like with, slow shutter, normal shutter and fast shutter. Need to upload them on youtube, will update this post soon
  12. One of customers was asking for a cube cam for cashier booth, so I've made this two ACTi samples, with 2.8mm lens and 2.8~12mm lens, check it out. drzIiHi_6o4 I know that video is too long (the ending), didn't noticed it when I was uploading this. So It has to be like that now
  13. I've got D82, so I can make some videos for you, what kind of videos you need?
  14. Or GeoVision GvSDCardSync soft. It auto downloads all recordings from SD cards and you can view/edit them in ViewLog - like normal GV-NVR recordings.

    ACTI KCM-8111 Onvif Version

HA! I've got that update file Raw image from fisheye?! THAT JUST FANTASTIC! Now add "upload image to Dropbox" in camera Events and I will tatoo ACTi logo on my buttock.
  16. I don't know how to get that MJPG directly from cam, but you can use GV Mobile Server You can stream in MJPG any cam from GV-NVR, even few cams in one MJPG. Check it out, it's on GV CD.
  17. Nope, it's not CS mount, it is M12 About that white balance, try changing AE target, in exposure tab in video options. This way you can "move" white balance. Destro_23, can I use those two photos on my blog? I will link them here EDIT Ahhhh you are not talking about D12, you have E12! E11, E12 and E13 - cube with audio and CS mount lens. D11 and D12 are smaller, without audio
  18. Soon I will post some reviews of those new cameras on my blog. Here is interesting picture It's Evetar M13BF312IR I can't get focus on 12mm range, but it works at about 8-9mm. wide angle: zoom in:

    ACTI KCM-8111 Onvif Version

Where we can find this 5.09.09 firmware? Can't find it on acti.com website. I have 5.08.06 firmware, and I'm using CGI command to enable ONVIF. I tested it in GeoVision and ExacqVision. In GeoVision: you can record and view video, change resolution set presets, zoom in and out, but moving doesn't work... well only diagonal PT works. In Exacq - you can move camera, but you can't use or set presets. :/
  20. There is no problem with that you can add "non local" IP cam.
  21. Maybe its because my english is not good as it should be Its all about H.264. When there is no motion on scene and you have quite good light, bandwidth should be quite constant. But for example noise caused by lowlight, or motion will, rise that bitrate because H.264 needs more data to push. If you have constant bitrate, it cant push more than that limit so it cuts off details.
  22. I don't have much experience witch Dahua brand (just starting with those cams) that why I'm not sure if this will help. But I had similar problem with some other brands, like GeoVision. Camera needed some more space to push data, and when there is no room, it eats detail.
  23. Have you tried changing bitrate from CBR to VBR?
  24. 2.0v Onvif, it works in ExacqVision for exaple.
