Well I did all those things and am still having trouble getting Xprotect to find the camera. Could you divulge any other details that might be causing a problem? David -

Yea that's what I thought. Does anyone have a good recommendation on some good Dahua NVR software to run on a headless server? I know blue iris is an option. Also I have downloaded the latest hardware pack for milestone and am running xprotect go version 2.1a Thanks, David -
Which IP Camera Should I Get For A Residential Security Gate
dsheli replied to Rehan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Since you have to buy a POE switch why not get a Netgear GS110TP, it will power you cameras and they have a gigabit fiber port built in. You can put one of these at your gate then use a media converter at the house. Or just get two and you will have POE back at the house if you decide to get any more cameras. I think they are going for about $150 on ebay. David http://www.netgear.com/business/products/switches/smart-switches/smart-switches/GS110TP.aspx -

Thanks for saving me a ton of trouble! David -
Huh? This has nothing to do with the software upgrade fees and why are you always trying to circumvent the VMS manufactures SLA? Thewireguys, I have been lurking on this forum for a while and find buellwinkle's post to be very informative. Help With Northern/Honeywell N-1000-II and 37 Bit cards
dsheli posted a topic in General Access Control Discussion
Hey guys Happy Holidays! I have been a long time reader but never posted. I have run into a little bit of a problem and need some help trying to get this to work. Currently I have two HID iClass reader/keypads that have been setup with conventional 26 bit wiegand cards. Presently I would like to use a bucket of iclass fobs that I recently acquired. Only problem is they are 37-bit and thus when scanned in the reader they do not show up on win-pak or the invalid card read. Is it possible to use 26 and 37 bit cards on a system or do I have to pick on or the other? If I choose to pick the 37 bit how would I go about getting it setup in winpak? I converted the panels over to 12 digit cards and when I do that each time a 37 bit fob is presented the panel reads, card number 000000000000 "invalid site code" which I thought based upon the winpak manual that the system does not look at site codes when in 12 digit mode? Thanks for the help! David
