AVtech AVC798HD Motion Detection Schedule
Leohuangdi replied to rob_887's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi, Avtech dvrs event timer is usually just for recordings, so when an allarm is triggered outside of the selected time it will not record the video, but it will still send email notification. Recently a new firmware (1022) was released to improve this function in some new models of dvrs, can you check what is your current firmware version? -
AVTECH H.264 4 Channel DVR - Motion detect at night query
Leohuangdi replied to gordon1976's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi, Interesting the issue of Playback, since the dvr is working well with version 1032 there is no need to change. To solve problem of motion during night.....i would keep playing with sensivity, till you get some motion icon on the screen........ If motion icon never appears, chech on "timer record" if motion recording is active, and the timer is activated for the night (or just deactivate the timer function). Let me know what is the result Leo -
Here is the manufacturer Firmware: ftp://211.75.84.102/Firmware/KPD675C_1013.rar Leo

AVTECH H.264 4 Channel DVR - Motion detect at night query
Leohuangdi replied to gordon1976's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi, I think that probably you only need to change the sensivity of motion detection. Wait when it's dark, and do some test to fint the better sensivity level for the detection. Leo -

need to type the port number in Services...... IP adress in Firewall rules
-
If you tell me which brand of router are you using, i can prepare some instructions for you. But, if you only have this dvr, probably can keep the default port 80, without the need to do portforwarding. Most important, is to select the right network connection on dvr, and activate the ddns if you don't have a static ip. Leo
-
Hi Miyagi, How to do the port forwarding depends of your router. Need to enter the configuration menu of the router and enable a port for your dvr. Usually you can do that in "port forwarding" or "virtual server" area. You write the local ip of your dvr and select the port or port range. Leo

Hi, Are you sure about the model number? AVC777. i don't remember it. Usually cannot delete the last available account, probably you changed the account and forgot user or password. Check the firmware version, maybe need to be upgraded. Leo

ftp://211.75.84.102/Firmware/KPD679_1025.rar But i don't think it can help to solve the problem. Leo

This is the last version of firmware, if you want to upgrade connect to the device by videoviewer, click on the last icon on the bottom-right, load all the files and start upgrade. When upgrade is complete the dvr will restart. Don't turn off the computer or the dvr during the process. ftp://211.75.84.102/Firmware/KPD674B_1015.rar Leo

To lower the motion triggers, for the bugs, you should change the sensivity of the camera, there are different sesivity depending of the space, the time or the change of the whole image. Low them till you get the best configuration. you can use firefox and chrome to see live view and event, you only need to keep updated quicktime. On iphone, go on the ip adress list page, press the last icon in the right bottom, then press the ip of your device, you should find the videos recorded (of course you need one hard disk in your dvr). If you have some problem with the browser, can try to upgrade the firmware of the dvr. Leo

Hi, I think that your network settings are already ok: Select DHCP connection, do port forwarding, turn on ddns function. Avtech server is the "default" one, and the MAC adress is the ddns adress, but of course you can change that name with one easier to remember. The email, is just to receive confirmation. The model should be KPD674B, check if you have both vga and crt output simultaneally. Probably you cannot see live view because you cannot download the active-x. Go to the internet settings and allow download of all kind of active x. If it's too complicated, just try this software: https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B_Tf3Yb1yhhRNTZkY2I3OTYtZmYwMy00MWJhLTkyYWYtOGRmZGU4YWZkMDA1 Leo

Hi, I think you should enable the DDNS service, selecting default and entering your email for confirm, you will be sure to connect to your dvr at anytime, even in the case your IP changes. The DDNS server is the one of Avtech and it's free, so you can use it. How do you connect from IE? Do you write your local IP adress? Remember to add the port number (88 right?) at the end of the ip adress (ex: 192.168.0.10:88). If you want to connect from internet need to write the public ip adress of the router, or the ddns adress (always with :88 at the end). If you don't use the ddns service, the trigger email you receive will have a different IP adress, and you won't be able to see the video. Leo
-
Hi, That one is Avtech dvr, but it doesn't support push video function. You can playback the motion triggers, by clicking the last icon on the bottom right and selecting your device. How did you configure the network? Did you activate the ddns service and did port forwarding? About the live and playback from IE, need to verify your device is connected to internet, and no antivirus is blocking the streaming. Leo

AVTech AVC798 loses remote connectivity frequently.
Leohuangdi replied to Sybaris's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi, I think the problem can be the ddns account doesn't refresh your actual public IP adress. You can try to get your public ip adress from a computer in the same network of your dvr, and connect with that number. If you restart your dvr, the ddns adress will refresh, and you can connect again from web. To avoid this problem in the long period, you should configure the DDNS service directly in your router (if supported). Leo -

Manually download AVTECH IE Activex Plugin
Leohuangdi replied to rfigueroa's topic in Digital Video Recorders
The active X are installed when you connect for the first time to the dvr by internet explorer. The problem is not to find the files for download, but to allow computer download them. Check this pdf (its in spanish, hope you can understand), it will show you how to enable download of the active x, solve problems with some operating system, and also find the system files for the live view in your computer. https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B_Tf3Yb1yhhRMmUxZDM2NGItMzM5OC00ZjllLTg4OTYtODAxYjg0MWEzNDBh If you still have problem, let me know. -

AVTECH AVC785 - recover remote password
Leohuangdi replied to badasafish's topic in Digital Video Recorders
you should have to use the program videoserver: ftp://211.75.84.102/AP/Video_Server/732E_Setup_1069.rar After you install, connect the computer to dvr by lan cable, press search in the software and modify the setting of the dvr. Remember to change the IP of your computer, to be able to access the dvr. Leo -
You should try to playback from DVR menu (find manual or motion records). If it's not working need to check if the hard disk is installed well, and check recording configuration of dvr (if recording is activated). You can also connect to avtech demosite and try to do playback, you will immediatly understand if your iphone has problem or not Leo

Hi Keat, KPD674 doesn't support push notification, only IVS dvr and ip camera do (like AVD and some AVC). Leo
