This are the informations to enter in the dvr: Network Type: Static IP: 192.168.0.44 (or change 44 with a number you want) Gateway: 192.168.0.1 (number you use to enter router page, right?) Netmask: 255.255.255.0 Primary DNS: 168.95.1.1 Secondary DNS: 139.175.55.244 PORT: (the one you want 20, 55, 200,8080......) Now go to your router page (write 192.168.0.1 in Explorer) Select port forwarding on the left, and mark port forwarding. Then click on add custom service. Service name: (write one name you want) Service type: tcp/udp Starting port Ending port (same) (the PORT you choosen before) Server IP adress: 192.168.0.44 (or the number you choosen) Now it should be working: if you type your fix IP adress plus the port, you should be able to connect to your dvr (es: 64.55.12.33:8080) if you are not sure about your fix IP number check this website, and you will find it: http://www.whatismyip.com/

hi, 192.168.1.10 is the default IP of the device, if you want you can connect to computer by local connection (by changing ip of the computer to 192.168.1.xxx). Find the local ip adress of your router (the one you use to open the menu of router, es: 192.168.1.1), insert this value in "gateway". Choose an ip adress for your dvr with the same value than gateway but changing the last number (es:192.168.1.99). Insert this number in "Server IP". Netmask 255.255.255.0 Do portforwarding of the ip you choosen and choose the port you want. Now writing your fix ip adress (the one your company gave you) plus the port (es: 3000) you should be able to connect to the dvr (es: 60.250.9.54:3000). usually i do this way, but of course there are people more expert than me that can suggest you another way. the computer cannot read the HDD, you need to install a software to do it. When you receive the trigger mail, you have to open the link with internet explorer and insert user and password of dvr, then save the file somewhere in your computer. Then you should be able to see the playback. Just make sure, that dvr hard disk is installed correctly and you can see playback from internet when you normally connect to the dvr. One more thing, when do backup of videos from dvr by USB or internet, need to play them with the program Video player. Leo

No, the one of the dvr is the maximum resolution it can reach.

• I cannot view any video (live or recorded) using Eagle Eyes over a 3G/GPRS network. I agreed, also, need to say that is not true that to connect to AVTECH dvrs must use Java, they use active x as well (also quick time and VLC). AVTECH has not only one model dvr, some of them are very cheap and don't have so many functions like the top series. I still see people using some old AVTECH dvr, so i suppose they can be good for long time.

Hi, If you forgot the password of dvr, need to reset config to default (for istructions check your supplier). One mail account can fit unlimited DDNS hostnames. MDR have similar functions of KPD but sold only in some regions. AVC (it depends of the model) may have: DVD slot, Call output, Loop, DCCS and IVS functions. KPD don't have. Leo

Hi, You can just open one port for the DVR (make sure port forwarding is done well in your router), don't need to open more or to change in the future, port 98 should be ok. Now you don't have a static IP connection right? so your router will keep changing IP. Using DDNS service can help your dvr adress to keep updated. You can set it in your dvr OR in your router (should upgrade faster your IP). Probably you did everything well, don't worry too much Leo

I prefere Avtech, it's the only one who can offer push notification to your iphone/Android (also have playback and backup from mobile). Samsung is a great brand, sometimes i combine Avtech products with Samsung without problem of compatibility.

Hi Lucha, Power user and normal user often just have one difference: power user can backup, normal user cannot. If you use the default server, there is no need to apply for a dyndns account. as you can see in the picture, avtech demo site has a very simple one There are 4 user level on KPD series DVR. Supervisor, power user, normal user and guest. What is the different between power user and normal user? About the Dptz, need to check what is the model of the camera you are using Did you enabled the ptz function, with the botton on the picture? If you cannot solve it, describe the problem with more details. Leo

Hi, AVTECH dvr cannot zoom on playback in local site, but they have playback zoom when using videoviewer (dvr control icon-digital zoom icon) . Eagleeyes for android is still a lite version, the full version will allow user to save more devices and also access to more functions. That version hasn't be released yet. About the dyndns, i think you can use the same mail, but i don't know how many hostname you can put in the same account. (often i use the default server of AVTECH). Leo
