I would be very grateful for some help regarding remote access problems I am having with my Sentient system.
I recently bought this system from Maplins (Product code N86HX) It's a 500GB DVR with 4 Sony cams with a remote access.
I'm using a Netgear DG834GT router on on ADSL connection (ADSL provided by Breathe Internet with a static IP) with the DVR connected to the router.
I can connect fine to the DVR on my internal LAN and can view the cameras and change the settings on the DVR, however, when I try to do this remotely, I can get to the login prompt, but no matter what password I set/try, all I get is 'login failed'
The IP address I'm using is http://80.46.39.22/
I've set the port to 8081 on the DVR, however, I can't even get to the login screen on http://80.46.39.22:8081 despite setting a rule within the Netgear, so it would seem that I can only access through the standard HTTP port 80
Any ideas?
