  1. Thanks to the people here, I have installed and have functioning audio on both my units. I just have 1 more issue. I am able to playback the audio through the audio out port to a speaker, I am also able to remotely download camera 1 with audio and playback later on a pc. However, when accessing the unit remotely, and playing back using the DVR control panel, is there anyway to output the audio to the pc that I am currently using? Pete
  2. Thanks ever so much! - I was at the end of my tether regarding this - audio working great without any problems Pete
  3. Good day, I am in a bit of a bind, and I'm hoping someone might be able to help me. I own 2 AVC760's fitted to each of of my stores, and have had relatively no problems with them. I run non-audio cameras, and following a recent incident in one of the stores, I decided to use the single channel audio input to record the audio onto one channel. I visited a CCTV store and they recommended either a camera with audio or a separate standalone microphone with power supply - I ended up going with the microphone which I have installed on the ceilings. One thing I found odd, was the connection for the GRND on the RCA connector is connected to the power supply GRND for this microphone has only 3 lines coming out. Anyway, problem is, the DVR doesn't detect the signal (the audio icon along the top bar remains grey with a cross on). I tested the microphone by connecting to my laptop pc - and although a little quiet, picks up sound with no problems. If I connect the RCA to the DVR, and then another RCA to the Audio out to a TV, it also picks up nothing. Both units do the same - according to the manual, the audio is detected on startup, and that to connect the camera with audio to channel 1 first. I have done this repeatedly and am now at a loss. Could the microphone not be providing enough power for the DVR to pick up? Anyone had any experience with connecting a microphone up to the AVC760? Is there something I need to do inside the unit? Regards, Pete
  4. So by your explanation, I push both buttons at the same time to activate the audio recording - is that correct? Pete
