RG-59 Repeaters and Amplifiers
JMANOFNVS replied to kandcorp's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Dude you know who makes the decisions where I am at. I can't disclose my bad experiences with those people. -
I want to see one of the ATV2000i's.
-
Ya seen that on extremes website.
-
You should have added an IR if you wanted to see fast images. Of course images will be blurred when you slow the shutter speed way down.
-
So whats that glare in the top right corner of the pic? Is there and IR thats casting the shadow?
-
For the cost I would buy something else.
-
Dude I have got you get some pics to show you!!! Does that GE on the very bottom right have a light behind it? The provideo looks like the color is a little wack. Whats the resolution on the recording?

You know Pelco has always been great, I have heard some things about the dx7000 and 8000 when the cdrw's first came out but there customer service is great not to mention SOME of there tech's have helped me put together some crazy ****. Rick I checked out your site needs work but products look promising. Shoot me some pricing and I will talk to the powers that be. -
I have seen an ED200 look better on a swanson dvr, are you sure it was working?? You must have got it in a Cracker Jack box right?? No at the bottom of a box of Cocoa Puffs??

Best type of crimpable BNC connector?
JMANOFNVS replied to RichTJ99's topic in General Digital Discussion
It took me awhile to remember to put the jacket on before stripping and of coarse this was before I found out you can get a stripper that does it all at one time. Oh yeah and thate not counting my first time to the mustang ranch. This guy had some compression tool I still have yet to find.. maybe somebody has seen it. At the bottom he stuck the cable in to strip it ready and then stuck it the top which he slipped a comp bnc in while stripping the wire and squeezed it ...done. I have seen all in one tools but not as smooth. -

Actually Rick I never knew Pelco had that. Usually when some one tells me they want a 3000 foot run to have good video is first if they have the money use fiber, if no money then you can get a cheap 4ch video amp with sharpness and breightness control for well under a bill or the middle road twisted pair with juice. -
Best type of crimpable BNC connector?
JMANOFNVS replied to RichTJ99's topic in General Digital Discussion
I have tried all of them but compression. First was twist, it took me longer to cut the wire right then it did to twist it on good, I suppose it was because used a pocket knife and teeth for center, took me at least 10 tries to get a good 2 piece down, screw the 3 and 4 piece, but I have customers who swear by them. When I got my high speed cable installed I was amazed and how fast the tech put those compressions on, he made me a 75 ft cable and 10 ft cable so I could fish it to my TV from outside my garage(for some dumb reason dish network does fish cable or even go into a crawl space)into my front room, so I tried to double fish my satalite tv cable to avoid having to get in to my attic(if you could call it that, in July 110 degrees outside) to run the cable and it snaged, but didn't break loose. So I have to go with compression all the way for speed and strength. They do cost more though. Oh ya and GEM does have a great selection as well as great pricing and support. -
Fujinon does have some nice lenses, I sell alot more Computar and Tamron...even Rainbow is good.

pros and cons mixing 12v dc and 24vac cameras!
JMANOFNVS replied to sf1964's topic in Security Cameras
Probably just a bad port or loose connection on that channel. -
I think the 30n you seen wasn't set up right. I spoke with a customer today about the same thing since you said that and he told me it has to be in tune...who set that 30n up?

Problem with cctv software or card ??????? SOLUTION ???
JMANOFNVS replied to usnewyork's topic in General Digital Discussion
Your problem is probably e-bay Some of the guys on here can probably help but I would stay away from e-bay or at least triple check what you are buying and who you are buying from. -
I think I might have an extra for ya Monster. Hopefully I will be there, I heard I was going to NY this year but don't want to.
-
I know the 25n is mpeg4 or jpeg selectable. Here is a link for ya. If you want to check it out let me know I will set it up for you to play with. http://bssc.sel.sony.com/BroadcastandBusiness/DisplaySubCategory?m=10001&p=3&sp=147

pros and cons mixing 12v dc and 24vac cameras!
JMANOFNVS replied to sf1964's topic in Security Cameras
Whats the brands of the 24vac cams and the 12 vdc cam? My thoughts are the 12vdc is just cheap. Are there any dip switches on the 12vdc? -
I have helped a couple of my local customers set up wireless covert systems just for the hands on experience. Its really hit and miss, you never know whats going to cause interference till you have the equipment onsite. With a one bedroom apt. it shouldn't be to hard, I would try not to use 2.4 though, especially in an aparment complex. Microwaves, cell phones, cordless phones,90% of wireless computer equipment and thats just to name some of the stuff that uses 2.4ghz. Is your place a studio or 1 bedroom w/ kitchen and bathroom seperate? I have found that the lower fequency's are better for going through walls although the video isn't as good. Just make sure you get equipment that has a 30 hit and miss clause, meaning if it doesn't work you can return it and keep trying.
