I haven't personally used it but I have heard some good things about it. This is what I deal with usually http://www.visualsentry.com/products.html?page=enterprise.html -
I must agree with Thomas and CollinR. You can have a wide shot and see the entire are but won't be able to make out a 747 at 100ft or you can have a narrow shot and count the nose hairs on a fly. Best thing would be to get you more lighting and point a couple cameras at the most common stolen stuff and maybe a couple PTZ's on tours with presets set off by a couple motions. Haven't sold that Nuvico DVR but there domes and cameras are nice.

4 or 5 cams in a ge ultra line smoke detector camera ?
JMANOFNVS replied to blowrabbit's topic in Security Cameras
I know you can put 4 in there and 5 shouldn't be to hard if you add it your self. -
Damn I have been missing all the good stuff!!! So both of you put you noses in the corner for a time out. Actually I see both points especially CSG's if you stay on this forum to long it starts to get to you and nothing personal kg6mti but some people ask the dumbest questions and have outragous expectations. I had to take a little break from here myself otherwise could have told you in the begining that cameras just has a sony chip and for the price you will pay for that speco there are alot of better cameras out there. If you use the search in the forum you will find this has been discussed many times.

i want to know about digital cctv solutions
JMANOFNVS replied to nilakarthik's topic in General Digital Discussion
Ya whatcha got??? Maybe you shared it all already and now there isn't any left for us?? -
With IP you could just plug the cams into hubs and have access to them anywhere with a computer on the internet. You could have a dedicated PC at each location if you want. Only issue is bandwith and if you use a bunch of networkable DVR's, you can still use Visual Sentrys software to pull them alltogether if you wanted to.

Hell hook them up if he already has them it couldn't hurt. Did he say where he bought them??

Is 640x480 a more Accurate Size than 720x480
JMANOFNVS replied to rory's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hit the nail on the head!! Just like TV aspect Ratios. Wide screen can be 16/9, 3/1, 4/3, and many combinations depending on the different len's they used during filming/production, software used for editing, and whats gives the best end product. If the picture is distorted its because they didn't spend the extra bucks for the right equipment. -
Man Rory an F connector is the screw cable input on the back of a TV. Check these links out. http://www.channelvision.com/pdf/support/guide/modulationMethods.pdf http://www.channelvision.com/pdf/support/guide/diagramsLayouts.pdf http://www.rldrake.com/ http://www.channelplus.com/products_rf.html That should more then cover your needs.

Any opinions of Dedicated Micros, digital sprites?
JMANOFNVS replied to MattVidionics's topic in Digital Video Recorders
I must say that I here it from all ends of the spectrum...DM has lost my customers DVR's, shipped them to the wrong customer after a repair and personally I think some of there techs need to lay off the drugs!!! For the long haul they have been there and the sales reps are awesome with support, upgrades, demo's, and new product intros. The reps know more then the techs in my experience. Maxtor HD's on the other hand...fail just as much as seagate and WD. It all depends on the environment I think. For the most part I would recommend DM for the right application. -
What about this?? http://www.visualsentry.com/assets/pdfs/vs_specsheet.pdf

If you paid that much for a lens when you could have got this for about the same you are nuts. http://www.extremecctv.com/press/PDF/CN041129-Extreme-CCTV-and-Obzerv-Sign-Commercial-Agreements.pdf

Hell Ya Cooperman!!! I love Technology!!! I just with it would get to the point where I can a pill or plug something into my head that will download it all on my brain at once and then like once a week you get updated. Its being developed faster then we can keep up. I have put together more Wireless IP and old school integrating with new school every day. Truth be told no 2 systems are the same but they all contain similar properties Surv, Entertainment, Security, Access Control, Environmental Control, Fire Burg, Home Automation and many others for which they where designed and integrated. I just wish I had more time to play with all the new toys.

He isn't going to get a Toshiba DVR for $1500. There KVKLR 4 ch with no HD retails for twice that. Talk to the Monster he has low budget systems that will fit your needs.
-
You are nuts!!!! I am to old to stay up like that!!!! 800 tvl single ccd?? I have seen 3ccd at 850tvl all day long and even some nice mega pixels.

I have a customers who customer loves this one http://www.meritlilin.com/english/produtcs/products_ca.htm I have tried to tell them I can get4 just like it for less but seriously he should have just bought a spectra 3 for all the hassle ar listend to my first comment and bought something else.

Use a polorized lens filter and try changing the angle of the camera
-
We carry that line but I never heard of them till a couple months ago and for that price and hassle should have bought Pelco.
-
Hey Joe he isn't at the casino(already asked)just lives on that creek

There are actually 600 tvl color cameras now with a Sony HQ1 chip. Personally haven't played with any but have sent a couple out for demos. I think I sent Monster one of the domes, no bullets yet so Rory scored 100 with the B/W.

All I can say is... OUCH!!!!!!!!!
