Never seen that one but I sell alot of these http://www.ktlcctv.com/web/page.asp?p=18 especially the cfc6013ex with Sony Exview chip.

As for the Covi it can be set up with a lap top, PDA or PC then mounted if you only want to run coax or you can run cat 5 and have full control with the right keyboard or dvr.

NVdv4-16900 MP4 technology vs the remote view difficulty
JMANOFNVS replied to ntsecurity35's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Mpeg 4 is usually better for internet viewing because of the same file sizes. Is there 16 cameras on the DVR? What cameras are you using? Whats the frame rate and resolution on the dvr set at? -
AD might be the standard but then I would have to say Pelco, GE, and Bosch are above standard. I have only been doing this for a couple years and have not once been asked to spec or quote an AD Matrix. I have sold some of there domes and even a couple intellix dvr's and have heard good thing about there new compression, the AD matrix's I here about need parts or replacing.

help configuring ltc0495 for catching licence plate

If he has deep pockets go with a perfomance kit!!! Then post the pictures and let me know how easy or not they are to set up. -
Ya I know I thought the same thing when I seen it was c-mos but the rep came in and did a demo and its a sweet camera for the price...HD quality so the digital zoom doesn't get all grainy so fast. I have also heard of Nice being good for casino's but I am not a disty for them so have never seen there products. I juts priced Pelco and GE similar systems and they are about the same in price.

Ya you would need 2 for that angle. The UF500 you have up is it a 60 degree 940nm? -
If you want a good warranty go with Ikegami they have a 10 year or Elmo and Ganz have a 5 year.
-
I would use a CM9780 or CM9770 matrix, or you thinking Endura? Bosch is good but a pain as for Mit, AD, and DM...well AD has matrix but not near as good as pelco's. DM and Mit. are not really geared to much towards this application. With GE you could go lots of directions with there matrix or with just DVMRE's and software. Honestly I have never sold a GE matrix so I can't vouch for how good they are but the rest of there stuff is good and I have sold lots of Pelco Matrix systems as well as components to update old systems.

I wouldn't buy on e-bay if I were you, unless you like to gamble. Better to buy from an online dealer so you at least get a warranty.
-
Yes what he said /\ messing with the camera inside could break loose a wire. Worse case take it down and flip it around.

Pelco is big in casinos. Do you have any idea on how many cameras they are looking at? Covi is a big casino camera for the tables they love the fact that they can use one camera to do 4 cameras job and installers like them for the same thing. Are you walk the job and specifing the equipment?

Anyone know about tele-entry for gated communities?
JMANOFNVS replied to iwatchlive's topic in General Access Control Discussion
I sell all those and some others what is your application detail? -
If the cameras are getting power and video through the cat 5 and you can establish which is which then you can use one of these http://www.ktlcctv.com/web/page.asp?p=39 or check out Extron, NVT, Nitek, Kramer, VAC or Vigitron.

Extremes new RegL1 helps the issues with non reflective plates and its less then the original. Hey rory have you tried the UFLED for your app? Its IR range is between the uf500 and uf100, plus its leds so less bulb replacements. -
This is a very nice DVR but I would personally go with a EVR32-480-2000 for 32 cameras and 1 or 2 5TB EXT R5 to hold that much video depending on fps per cameras, resolution, motion or none motion settings and activity being recorded. Also the HVR32-480-2000 is an excellent choice because its hybrid and can use both IP and standard cameras. I have over 200 Toshiba DVR's in the field installed in the past 2 years and beside the recent software upgrade issue and a few(literally)bad HD's have heard nothing but praise. Personally I think they are over priced but when compared to other well known 32 ch units they are one of the best I have seen.

Do they have it in black? I kinda like the black better. What do you think?Does it fall within the specifications of this post? Hey Darby7 do they have a varifocal version?
-
Hey Monster is that from IC's site?? Its looked black when I went to the link.
-
Nice dome darby7, I have never seen it in black before. Vitek has a white one and Arm electronics has it in a dark grey with 4 versions 420lor fixed and varifocal and 480lor fixed and varifocal. I have also seen it on ID View's website and a couple of others and I must say for the price it is a very nice dome especially the varifocals they have external adjustments.

Not familiar with geovision but most likely it will only do 1 protocol at a time through the same port. Most the dvr's out there use pelco p & d as well as most PTZ's out there use those protocols. You should be able to daisy chain as many ptz's as you have video ports to record and have the controls all in the same port.

That looks just like this one: http://www.americanvideoequipment.com/catalog/pipc/pipc.htm

Who ever you send them to or whoever gets them up let me know the website and if they are good I will support them.
