Dahua cameras now at Costco

Mine took 21 days to get. Did you get a shipping confirmation with tracking number? I'm able to get the status of the order. It says that it was fully shipped out but I don't see a tracking number for it. -

I haven't had time to completely set up everything. So far I only have 1 camera up. It's working great, much better than my old analog system. I opted to use some Monoprice Cat5e that I had lying around for all the camera runs. I was a little short, so I placed an order for another 1,000ft of it. In the meantime I opened up 2 of the 100ft cables that came in the package. I used them to test my hdmi extender. It uses 2 cat5e cables to shoot it to the receiver. The extender is powered. At the monitor I was getting some digital artifacts. They would come and go as I moved the cat5 cables. I came to the conclusion that these were probably some cheap CCA stranded cables. To my surprise it was actually solid copper wire inside. In any case, the cable is just a little soft for me. Got my package of Monoprice Cat5e to run this weekend. -
Does this help? Same idea.

I found a Q&A where Dahua says this about the iDMSS HD iPad app I also did find an old thread here where some thought that the video looked better via iDMSS HD. Oh well....

https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/idmss-hd/id496176795?mt=8 Ok, you guys tried this? iDMSS HD for the ipad
-
I could have sworn there was a $10 app for the ipad that let you actually see the main stream instead of the extra stream. It's on my ipad at home. I'll let you guys know what it is. I do remember it has HD at the end of the name. Got me thinking now....

Hi Guys. I received an email asking me not to share any information. The person who helped me said that they would not be able to process any other upgrades. Sorry. -

So, is it just a difference in the firmware, or is it a faster processor, larger disk, or some other enhancement? Best, Christopher Can't tell you for sure. Haven't even unwrapped it yet. You can compare them on the website. http://www.q-see.com/products/product_details.php?id=114&pid=112 -

Just received my 8-channel nvr from Q-See. I contacted them and they were nice enough to upgrade me to an 8-channel nvr after receiving the 4-channel nvr from Costco. I filled out an RMA and paid for shipping back to them. They shipped out this new 8-channel nvr. Q-See, thanks for hooking me up after the fact! I got lucky this time. " title="Applause" /> -

Look at the Costco thread. I was told today (by Q-See) that an 8-channel ip system would be offered at the beginning of next year. However, still no signs of the 1080p cameras that were supposed to be available back in Oct. -

Well, we'll see what happens. On their fb page, the rep said that Costco would be carrying the 1080p cameras sometime back in October. That still hasn't happened. So we'll see if they carry the 8-channel nvr in Jan....or not... -

I purchased one online last night I am assuming my dlink DES-1228P switch should work with this system? This would be great if I lucked out and received the 8 channel NVR. I found out from Q-See that they received their 4-channel nvr's last week on Monday. So any orders that they shipped that Monday on out are 4-channel nvr's. They had been out of the 4's and subbed with the 8's. Bummer! I was told that an 8-channel nvr would be available at Costco at the beginning of next year. -

Yes. I just got mine today (4 channel ordered on 11/5) and it is now recording four cameras. Two are Dahua 2100, one is a costco and the other is another re-branded version the forum won't let me type. Pretty cool box, wish I had gotten an 8!!! Mine comes tomorrow, I'm crossing my fingers for an 8ch! -
